bobtheslayer Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 This is my first time contributing anything. . . Here's my character. I used univision face, ECE, and numenume female eyebrows. I'm trying to creating a waifu anime type character, not sure how good it is. Anybody have advice for getting a better looking character?
Asakaze Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 maybe reducing the eye size? or maybe lowering the eyelids a bit
Gumihoyah Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I think a different hairstyle would do wonders on her face maybe make her chin a little shorter. And definatly the lighting does nothing to her face atm :0 but for my tastes shes almost there
Gumihoyah Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Depends on what you are going for xD If you aiming for cute I would open up the eyes a bit and make the iris a bit bigger. Also bring up the mouth closer to the nose. Smaller chin will make a rounder face wich is usually cuter then longer thin faces. U could also flatten out the face by bringing the eyes more forward. im not so good with sexy so somebody else would need to give advice about that xD
bobtheslayer Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks for the advice guys, made some changes. I'm not sure about reducing eye width, so I made two versions. What do you think?
Gumihoyah Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Wow what an improvement shes looking better by the minute! Me personally I would still bring up the mouth a little bit and adjust the chin accordingly and maybe lower the forhead a little bit and that should be perfection!
Asakaze Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Definitely improved xD Both looks great the left one has a cute cartoonish look while the one on the right is cute and realistic ^^ @Gumihoyah I'll give it try thanks ^^, I'm making her more towards cute rather than sexy
Gumihoyah Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I always found this facechart rather helpfull btw! its a great layout to start with in regards to eye - nose - mouth positioning ^-^
bobtheslayer Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Hmm. . . Thanks for the diagram. I'll have something new in just a few minutes!
bobtheslayer Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Alright. Heeeeere we go again! I did tweaking all over, keeping in mind what you guys said, so hopefully this is a little better. Though I do really like that hairstyle.
Setekh Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Hiya just taking random screenshot.. This thread is more geared towards actually creating and developing characters and including the instructions to help others do the same. Just a friendly reminder.

TheDriedFinger Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I'm trying to get a character like the model on this magazine cover, just to see if I can do it: This is what I've got so far: Any tips?
Deedlit Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I'm trying to get a character like the model on this magazine cover, just to see if I can do it: This is what I've got so far: Any tips? use photoshop, she was using also, jk asides: try changing enb to one like project or polo so you will get better idea of char face, if using ece /race menu try more nord features (theres a slide for that) so will get chin area more like pic without destroying your work till now. polo enb : http://www.mediafire.com/download/eex6tthv6b95srw/poloENB_v5.0(0.233Enabled).rar link from page http://blog.livedoor.jp/polo702/tag/poloENB (idk if allowed direct post for that i cant read japanese at all, so lemme know if cant and ill remove)
TheDriedFinger Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Thanks, I'll try that out (especially the Photoshop).
Deedlit Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 ah forgot say polo its not heavy at all, i guess you are using somber so dnt worry about that being heavy. and at polo change dof = false, so you can seen more easier char face.
TheDriedFinger Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 It seems that poloENB is hidden at the moment. I actualy play Skyrim on my laptop and only have the ENB effects active for screenshots because all ENBs seem to bring my FPS to about 10. For my laptop to run Skyrim comfortably at 40 FPS (even without ENBs), I have to turn off AA and AF and use lower qualities in many settings. But, fo screenshots, I can tolerate the ~10 FPS. This is what I've got now, and even though the character still isn't exactly like the model, I'm pretty satisfied with how it has turned out now: Thanks for the tip with the RaceMenu sliders.
gamertech100 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Hi, Could anyone tell me how to import the makeup I apply to my characters face and lip colour in the ECE screen to the creation kit, and then into the game? I'm trying to create a beautiful Npc using the Ningheim race, but the makeup never imports. :/
