Holothurion Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I've been looking everywhere trying to find a solution in Google and, of course, LL. (also, making tweaks by myself on files with no results.) Here is my problem. As you can see, there is a neck gap between the body and the neck. It al started when I installed Very very pale skinhttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33049/?, I got a head/body texture mismatch so I decided to uninstall it. However, after uninstalling it, I started to encounter this issue, even with vanilla races. So I did a fresh install of body and textures with no results. The seam/mismatch it's still there. (Obviously, checking with LOOT, everything is loaded in the correct order.). Also, I've uninstalled all kind of texture replacers, such as tattos, freckles, etc., again, with no results. I'm using CBBE body and textures. I've using it along with this: - Stoja's warpaints http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60769/? - Freckle Mania http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52841/? - Succubus Race - KJ Tattoos http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50032/? - THEHAGS Privat Tattos http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30404/? I haven't see if someone else has this issue, so if you need more information, I'm willing to provide it.
djregs Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I get the neck seam sometimes. To adjust, I use the sculpt option in the character creation menu. I think it comes with the ECE mod. Then you just have to sight it up until it looks right.
shadow866 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Thats a wierd neck gap. Are you still getting the neck seam at min or max weights in racemenu?
allsunday Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I had the exact same kind of neck problems before and to fix it I switched out the specular maps for the head: femalehead_s.dds. I kept playing around with different kinds of specular maps from different texture mods until one of them magically made the problem go away. I'm not saying this will work for you also but it definitely worked for me. I use the CBBE body, so I tried specular maps from Demoniac, Mature Skin, Fair Skin, and SG Renewal. I don't remember which one worked, this was a long time ago.

Yes, I'm still getting the same gap at max and min weight. I thought it might be a femalehead.nif problem, but it wasn't. I'll update if this fixed it. EDIT: After a couple of hours, I decided to re-install all textures and meshes in their respective folder manually. At least, these fixed the color mismatch between body and head. Also, the neck gap seemed to disappear, so it has been "fixed" (maybe?). Its just that everytime I import back the head mesh of my playable character via RaceMenu (the one with the gap ocurring), it appears again. Also, I made a preset before all this "weird neck gap" thing happened and when I load it, BAM! weird neck gap all over again. So now I'm assuming this has to be a problem with head mesh? I just hope to find a solution so if anyone else finds this problem in the future, he/she could find the answer he/she was looking for. If not, maybe I'll do another preset or head mesh from scratch and discard the one I'm using right now.

I took a look at Very very pale skin and its missing alot of textures and just have the basic body textures. You need _msn and _s and _sk files as well else you will get the neck seam you have. And its missing all vampire textures as well. It seems its pretty dated texture pack and there are alot of better options out there. You can always try head/body/hands_msn/_s/_sk from another set of textures maybe from fairskin for example just to see if the seam goes away. Personally i would not use Very very pale skin. Since its pretty dated and there lot of better options out there now. Like Pureskin or Demoniac or Fairskin. Depending on taste.
