yvesdupond11 Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Hi Guys, Im trying to figure how to create/modifiy animations in 3DsMAX12 . I found some tutorials and i could reproduce them with the material given by the author. Good, but I made a female character with CBBE- XP32 extended skeleton - Bodyslide - Racemenu .. and so on.. but as i use Mod Organiser i dont know where i can find : - my female character with : bones (given i gave her with bodyslide different size - bigger that the default) vanilla animations : idling , running , etc meshes (head, body, hands, feet) textures (so the skin ? but that is not important) I know that Mod Organiser make like a copy of the Data folder and never modify the original one; even though, there's is no Data folder if you never modify the original game (im right ? ) --> Anyway my installation is a mess now, i will reinstall a fresh copy of my game and use NMM . Can you please tell me for each of the 3 first points where i can find them in my Data folder by default ? So i can use them to make animations scaled to my character.

You remind me why I don't use Mod Organizer. It does too much, way more than I need. I prefer the simplification of manual installation and the occasional use of NMM when it's more convenient to the mod's installation. I also don't need more than one profile. Anyway, the female skeleton by default should be in data\meshes\actors\character\character assets female. (skeleton_female.nif & skeleton_female.hkx) I thought the vanilla animations were in the Skyrim - Meshes.bsa but the loose file location would be meshes\actors\character\animations. Female textures are in Data\textures\actors\character\female. There's a clear pattern with Skyrim's folder structures and it makes things easier to find. I feel that this is one of the only things that Bethesda got right with Skyrim. Lol. Let me know how the whole animation editing goes. I want to learn also because most sexlab animations are unfortunately catered towards petite women or something and I want to edit those animations for thicc milfy amazons.

yvesdupond11 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 thx for reply Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets . mmh, like in a tutorial i read before with some material (Dream Girl), i notice there is no head in that folder . It might be related to the Race isnt it ? I prefer to make animation with the meshes of the head So where is the head of my CBBE im playing with ? skeleton_female.nif & skeleton_female.hkx : what could be a skeleton_female.nif ? the mesh of the skeleton ? and skeleton_female.hkx is an animation ?? its unclear the default animations are in Skyrim - Animations.bsa : SO, as my big girl in the game can do softly those animations ; i guess that the vanilla animations are just running with a bigger bones with no problems ; in others words, the animations are the same ; only the bones used are different. Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets , but theres also Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets female .. and whats difference between; for exemple in the folder , skeletonbeast_female.nif and skeleton_female.nif ?? femalebody_0.nif and femalebody_1.nif lol .. So many tutorials says ; do this and do that ... but dont explain the environment :/ Yes, i want to do as final step an "amazon pack" with installer all the required mods in a folder haha so people will not have to spend 10 days to enter the obsure world of modding . Also, maybe, i will create a platform community where people can load/publish animation and positions so people can easily modify them and make derivated animations . The idea is to minimise to max the time of the learning curve and maximise the quality of animations by letting lot of people working on them and test them in Sexlab. So improve the collaboration and the end results. I will write a topic on it once i will produce some animations. @ all sunday, keep in touch . I will try to put you on rails with animations once i gained some basics.

I will try to put you on rails with animations once i gained some basics. Oh boy, you are asking questions beyond my knowledge but I will take that as a compliment and try my best to answer them. I believe there is no head mesh because if you want to edit head meshes then you create your own head (femalehead.nif) which overwrites the vanilla head mesh, otherwise everyone just defaults to the vanilla head mesh... which will most likely be in Skyrim - Meshes.bsa. I could be wrong. I have a femalehead.nif in my Character Assets folder but I do not have a malehead.nif and my game works just fine. This is where my theory comes from. Also, I don't think you need to edit the head mesh in order to create animations for faces. This mod here proves that, it's just scripts, there isn't even animation files: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/42273/? Anyway, I really have no idea what I'm talking about but it's fun to discuss these things. Also, take note that the type of hair, eyes, face, and etc. of an NPC is in Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom. All Vanilla NPCs are located in the folder Skyrim.esm according to their Reference ID which you can find on the Skyrim Wiki. If you open these .nifs with Nifskope you can see that it's just the head and you can edit the textures and do a lot of things with them to change anyone's appearance. I don't know why a skeleton requires a mesh .nif but the .hkx is definitely an animation file and it makes no sense to me either but that's why I haven't learned animations because it makes me fall asleep. I knew the vanilla animations were in one of the .bsa files somewhere. The good news is any animations that you put into the meshes\actors\character\animation folder will overwrite the vanilla animations as long as it has the same name. The loose files will always overwrite the files in a .bsa, very useful to remember. I believe the skeletonbeast_female.nif is related to Argonians and Khajiits, that's my best guess. Lol. But I do know that femalebody_0.nif and femalebody_1.nif are the designations for the NPC's weight, 0 meaning skinniest with a weight of 0 and 1 meaning the thickest with a weight of 100. You can see the weight slider in the character creation menu, best done with Racemenu mod installed. The thing I don't know about is that there are NPCs who's weight can be 20, 30, 40, and so on but there are no meshes for those so I don't know how they're made. Lol. I wish I knew more about editing animations for Skyrim and I really want to learn so I will definitely keep in touch. I want sex animations for girls like this: http://i.imgur.com/Y4DTXKP.jpg http://i.imgur.com/fUwDOvo.jpg Not girls like this, this is just boring and she looks so stupid:
yvesdupond11 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 ahahah , you are so right x) Ur female is nice , its done with CBBE ? can you show me her with this mod ? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8873/?

Yeah, I use CBBE. Lulz! I only installed the textures, the body mesh didn't work but I'm sure it will look exactly like it does on the mod's page. She actually looks kind of hot, too bad the textures are incompatible with CBBE.
yvesdupond11 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 wow, she's even more hot now I will show ur mine soon
allsunday Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 wow, she's even more hot now I will show ur mine soon What? Are you going to make one like this? Lol, I'm very curious to find out what she will look like.
