cleavagesweat Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 hey all - i'm using the mypeepsofwhiterun mod which replaces nazeem, ahlam, amren and saffir and everyone except nazeem is working fine. naz has a weird discolor/tint or something wrong with the head/body (see attached) any ideas?
Pauduan Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Because you don't get to the cloud district often, that's why. Sorry, couldn't resist. This looks like a bad/corrupt/missing texture, probably the .sk file for the head. Check the facegeom .nif file to see what the linked texture sets point to, or try exporting it again from CK.

cleavagesweat Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 can you tell me where to look? (see attached)
Tweens Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 #10 BSShaderTextureSet. Click on it and expand Textures down in the Block Details. That should list all the texture paths for the head.
cleavagesweat Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 #10 BSShaderTextureSet. Click on it and expand it down in the Block Details. That should list all the texture paths for the head. ok those are the paths tot he .dds files. the facetint one? how am i going to know how to fix that tho?
cleavagesweat Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 so this mod covers naz, ahlam, amren and saffir. if i go into xEdit and just delete the mods Nazeem items he goes back to the vanilla Naz "but" he has the "gray-face" bug... at this point i'm willing to give up on the modded naz and just use vanilla but can someone help me fig out how to avoid the gray-face? i don't even use CK... all the editing is done in xEdit.

The paths to the textures look wrong to me, normally you keep them all in the same folder structure. Right click on each textures SizedString the press textures in the menu that comes up, it will bring you right to the folder where the path is directing it, if the textures are not there then you need to find where they are. It looks very obvious that the path is not complete for some of the textures and you can update it very easily with nifscope by navigating to the folder where the textures actually are located. If you don't plan to fix it or the textures are completely missing then once you remove nazeem from the esp then you also need to delete the facegen data installed by the mod for nazeem to get rid of the brown face bug.

Pauduan Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 You can see the non-existent texture paths right here... There Is no folder that the texture is pointing to. Obviously it will work in the modder's own setup. You can try manually changing the paths to see if it will work.

cleavagesweat Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 could someone install the mod and then get it to work and explain the steps they used to get it to work perhaps?
Tweens Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 could someone install the mod and then get it to work and explain the steps they used to get it to work perhaps? Try this nif. It replaces the one in the MyNazeem folder ETA: And the nif in the facegeom/skyrim.esm folder.
