PsychoMachina Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 What do I need to do to make custom races (in my case the Elin race) work with mounted combat. I use Steam so game updates isn't an issue, but I can't even unsheathe my weapon much less engage in combat while on horse-back. This happens even when I don't have any custom animations installed. After searching around LL and Google I haven't found a solution so any help would be appreciated.
Trykz Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Add this under the [General] heading in SkyrimEditor.ini in the steamapps\common\Skyrim folder: bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 Then select Skyrim.esm AND Update.esm as master files for your mod. If you use RaceCompatibility.esm, select that as a master as well. You'll get some warnings about duplicate entries in both Update.esm and RaceCompatibility.esm, but just click through to ignore them. Once the mod is loaded, go to the combat tab on the race forms for your race AND it's vampire variant (if you made one) and click the "Update Events" button. You should see the entries appear, but their values will be zero. Just set each value as follows: ------------------------------ attackPowerStart_MC_1HMLeft Dmg Mult: 2.20 Attack Chance: 1.00 Stagger: 1.00 Recovery Time: 0.00 Stamina Mult: 1.00 Attack Spell: None Attack Type: None Attack Angle: -90.00 Strike Angle: 85.00 Knockdown: 0.00 Power Attack Box ticked attackPowerStart_MC_1HMRight Dmg Mult: 2.20 Attack Chance: 1.00 Stagger: 1.00 Recovery Time: 0.00 Stamina Mult: 1.00 Attack Spell: None Attack Type: None Attack Angle: 90.00 Strike Angle: 85.00 Knockdown: 0.00 Power Attack Box ticked attackStart_MC Dmg Mult: 1.00 Attack Chance: 1.00 Stagger: 0.00 Recovery Time: 0.00 Stamina Mult: 1.00 Attack Spell: None Attack Type: None Attack Angle: 0.00 Strike Angle: 35.00 Knockdown: 0.00 No ticked boxes attackStart_MC_1HMLeft Dmg Mult: 1.20 Attack Chance: 1.00 Stagger: 0.00 Recovery Time: 0.00 Stamina Mult: 1.00 Attack Spell: None Attack Type: None Attack Angle: -90.00 Strike Angle: 85.00 Knockdown: 0.00 No ticked boxes attackStart_MC_1HMRight Dmg Mult: 1.20 Attack Chance: 1.00 Stagger: 0.00 Recovery Time: 0.00 Stamina Mult: 1.00 Attack Spell: None Attack Type: None Attack Angle: 90.00 Strike Angle: 85.00 Knockdown: 0.00 No ticked boxes ------------------------------------- Update.esm has the mounted combat updates you need. Any future mods created using this method of multiple masters will have the values already updated. Prior races (made before including Update.esm) need to be manually updated though. Good luck!
