Fixadent Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Will this memory kit be 100% physically and electronically compatible with the Asus Maximus IX Hero Z270 motherboard, and a Core i7 7700K processor? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232498&cm_re=trident_z_rgb-_-20-232-498-_-Product
Lyreal Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Yes you can use this Motherboard for DDR4 with 3000MHz. Also the CPU support DDR4 BUT max with 2400MHz. They might work but dont have to. Give it a try or buy one with max only 2400Mhz.

Worst case you'll have to use the memOK button provided to get the computer started up. I might suggest something more workmanlike and with less Lulz, but to each their own.
