cleavagesweat Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 I'm trying to open a castle mod in CK and it gives errors and crashes. the mod is WINTERSTONE CASTLE by skyrimlazz the URL is: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57858/? also, anyone know why I can't copy paste in here?
Guest Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Copy/paste usually works, but your browser may have problems. About the mod, be sure you have all dependency mods, and set "allowmultiplemasters" in the ini file.

myuhinny Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Try running it through TES5EDIT and see what problems appear after loading it maybe it has lots of dirty edits it could also be a bad mesh file or 2. From reading some of the comments it does seem to have a lot of manniquins in it maybe those are the cause hard to say.
cleavagesweat Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 it opens in tes5edit with no probs and no errors...
Guest Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 I think I recognise that error. It's not crashing on the mod. It's crashing on Dragonborn. It's got something weird to do with how creation kit wasn't updated along with the Dlc's. Try opening 'SkyrimEditor.ini' and adding Dragonborn.bsa (as well as any other you have) to:SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, edit: vaguely recall someone mentioning they had to do that as well as adding "sLanguage=ENGLISH" under [General] or whatever the language version they use, but I didn't have to do that myself so it seems a little.. quirky at best.

Guest Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 No worries. Glad it was a quick and simple fix. I'm quite happy to direct the blame off the mod and to Bethesda being derp <:
