Soulvexx Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Hey all, I have a question regarding editing meshes in nifskope. Some armors i try to edit are just 1 block, no individual pieces or anything. Is there a way I can break the mesh into multiple meshes? I know how to remove blocks etc. but I can't figure this out.
Azazellz Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Is there a way I can break the mesh into multiple meshes? Using NifSkope? No. Using Outfit Studio? Yes.
SirDuke Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Using Outfit Studio? Yes. Indeed? I used blender until now, which really gave me pain, dividing single meshes into parts. Outfit studio was used by me for smoothening and converting meshes, only. I didn´t know that! How do I do that? That would be much easier! Can you give me a basic instruction, on how to divide mehes?

First of all - you need latest version of BS. Then go to OutfitStudio, mask polygons you need to separate, then go to Shape -- Separate. Or you can just delete unmasked polygons via Shape -- Delete Vertices But be careful with this when making _0 and _1 mesh variants - polygons between them must be exactly the same. P.s. and sorry about my poor english =)
Soulvexx Posted May 23, 2017 Author Posted May 23, 2017 Thx for the help. I'll try it out in a bit and let you know of it worked out
SirDuke Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 First of all - you need latest version of BS. Cursed! Here was my first mistake! Updated my version and just saw it myself! Thanks! This is very helpful!
