深淵の神 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Hi, i'm making some convertions with Bodyslide Oufit Studio, I'm not a skilled person but rarely have issues with this. Right now i'm trying Vogue Rogue Armor but cannot get rid of this clip: It is not a HDT problem because all the other costumes doing fine except this one even in bodyslide looks good but in game not So in order to understand what I did wrong in Outfit Studio I'm gonna explain the old but effective method I always follow: 1 select New Project, select a reference and choose an outfit mesh 2 Find the other reference and delet it 3 start playing with the sliders triying to get the body as close as posible with the armor mesh 4 make a convertion reference: 5 Conform All and Set Base Shape. By the way, why sometimes I got a CTD-fatal error when I "set base shape"? I have no idea :/ 6 Load Reference to reload the same Unified UNP reference at the begining. Click Slider and Conform All 7 fixing any remaining clipping, my goal is 7BO, everything looks good so far 8 Last step is weighting. Just right click on the meshes and Copy Bone Weights. And "Save Project As..." but not so fast... that warning of some vertices have no weighting. Just fix it... wtf is this... Allright, fix the weighting and save, bodyslide shows the convertion, no problem... until I open it up in game. What am I doing wrong? Any Help wolud be appreciated =)
sarah.j Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 imo u r on a wrong working process... if your body (the reference is inside the studio), you may load the clothing (with upcoming other body)...then you first get rid of that other body..., ... after that you should try to use the tools to get the clothing mesh around the body and then you simply confirm all sliders. Then I´d check out some sliders, if the clothing is always suiting to the body and if it´s well, you can first of all store that project. After that process u can edit every slider and get the clothing fit to extremal settings of each slider. And after that you should store again. Last process is the bone/weight transfer from the body to the clothing, i mean you want the clothing to be reacting with the moves of the body. This last step is something you need to learn and try and find your personal workaround with it as usual...
RW311 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Can you give a link to the outfit? I can try also and see if using a different method has this problem.

It's weird because I always use this method, I learned that way a long and always works. I dont remember where, a video I think xD Besides, I want to create a Bodyslide preset to share with everyone for different body types, imo your method only works for the actual body i'm using. But thanks, I'll give it a try ASAP =D Can you give a link to the outfit? I can try also and see if using a different method has this problem. Sure, this is the armor, thanks =)
深淵の神 Posted May 13, 2017 Author Posted May 13, 2017 Wtf... I tried again... same method... and it works now... i don't get it O_o Life's great mysteries... Ok my second try with Sarah.j's method, I wanna learn all posible methods =D first get rid of that other body. after that you should try to use the tools to get the clothing mesh around the body Isn't much more easily adapt the body to the clothes with sliders and not backwards? aggghh to much bad clipp to fix, i'm off with this method, I'm not that brilliant T-T But thank you so much for the help, Here's my conversion preset if anyone is interested, thanks =D Vogue Rogue Bodyslide UUNP.7z
RW311 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 The way you do it is I think the best way, I was just going to try it without removing any original body mesh and see if it was a weight problem but looks like you go it sorted.
深淵の神 Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 Hi again, I have another question, this is driving me crazy because I dont know why this is happening and I don't know how to fix it, Some times when I made a "reference" and try to "Set Base Shape" or click on the button "Turn on edit mode for this slider" to set the slider to 100% this happens: A Fatal Exception, why? Not always happens but it is very annoying, how to prevent this from happening??? Any help would be appreciated =)
RW311 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Try not deleting the original body mesh until right before you are working with the weights, just click the little icon to make it invisible while you work. I've run across that problem before on some outfits and the only way I found to avoid it was leave all mesh parts intact until after conforming all the shapes.

How could... xD Thanks! the only problem is that some clothes don't come with the "reference". Once again, thank you so much =D
yatol Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 compare the thing you get in bodyslide to what there is in the nif to avoid that you delete the weight from the nif, or copy paste in a nif with the bones you use as for the missing weights red is red green is green blue is blue and nothing is nothing it copy paste the reference weights, if there's no bone around, it copy paste nothing try to copy paste weights on a helm, won't work with a reference that don't have a head
