Molevalence Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 About 5 years ago I found a beautiful picture of a female dwarf trying on a dress and standing in front of a mirror. If I recall it was the lovely black dress from World of Warcraft and the dress was obviously too large for the dwarfs height and structure yet she looked quite pretty in it regardless. I used this as my desktop background for as long as I can remember but when my hard drive went I lost it. Been looking for it ever since as it was one of my favorite pictures. I have been trying to retrace my steps so I can remember where I first seen it but my mind is blank. This is a odd request but this community has never let me down in the past when I requested a specific item/mod. If not they gave me information to lead me in the right direction. I am in the dark with this one right now and I wish I can tell you more about the picture itself but its been a few years since I last seen it. Thank you all for your time.
Guest Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I'm gonna say something lame, and then the fireman will come along to save you and give you the right picture. Then you'll both snicker derisively, or you'll go off and marry said fireman, and call me "sweet" (lame) for trying. See, now this is why I never stick my neck out and say stuff to beautiful avatars, They're spoken for. ---- Unfortunately google must think I am as senile as the way I type, because when I typed "lovely black dress" "wow" "dwarf" It came up with results like maybe a guy with a black t-shirt, a famous feminist, and some cartoons. The search could take eons, which only means that when your searcher in shining armor comes to rescue you, it'll be especially sweet for them to buff their nails and say "It took a little longer than usual, I was on the phone and needed to pee first". So I defer to more qualified WOW players who actually know WTF you're really talking about. Me, I'll be over here licking my wounds.

No, the pictures were nothing like that XD. This was a very well detailed drawing and if I remember right it was also quite elegant. The atmosphere of the picture is warm cozy serenity. It just shows a female dwarf inside a bedroom wearing a long black dress and looking at herself through a mirror. I don't plan to use it as a avatar I just enjoyed the picture as my main character in WoW is a female dwarf. Guess you can say I am a sucker for them lorewise.
Guest Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 warm, serene, elegant, rich: woman with a pearl necklace by Vermeer. But she has the wrong color dress. Bitch who hangs on to a heart in a cage: Not warm, or serene, it looks like a very bitter portrait of an ex-wife or maybe a wife refusing to let go. So it's romantic and scary at the same time. No, not warm, Nor serene. Lady dwarf in mirror: warm, serene, not a drawing nor elegant. (Why am I drawn to the bitch with a cage??) I found some very warm cozy pictures of Karina Lemos. It might be she has the dress you're looking for, she's got tons of pictures.
Molevalence Posted April 29, 2017 Author Posted April 29, 2017 Thank you again for posting the suggestions. I think this one will be a very difficult picture to acquire but your attempts are appreciated nonetheless.
Storms of Superior Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 This has a huge collection of WoW dwarf artwork. https://www.pinterest.com/worldofwarcraft/dwarves/
nosdregamon Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 My google-fu has failed me: https://www.pinterest.de/pin/481322278900000229/
Molevalence Posted April 29, 2017 Author Posted April 29, 2017 Thank you both for the suggestions. I am currently looking through your links to find it but no luck so far.
grundor67 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 You might try www.deviantart.com as well. WoW has inspired a lot of art over the years since it's inception and deviantart has a lot of talented artists. I'd also suggest perhaps adding the approximate year in your google searches...for instance "female dwarf artwork 2012". If it's been 5 years since you seen the pic last posted then it's conceivable that the picture may have been done anytime between 2004 and 2012. WoW was released November 23, 2004. Hope this helps! Good luck in your search. Grundor.
