An idea I've been toying with is to add Frostfall to my mods, which includes Devious Devices, Cursed Loot, Captured Dreams, Devious Framework and Devious Training.

 

Has anybody tried this?

I know, but what a challenge! :D

 

I already play using Campfire, iNeeds and Art of the Catch. Its mostly warmth and coverage in Frostfall that would be the issue.

We need a patch :)

After all, a full body rubber catsuit is definitely full coverage against rain and it traps body heat, so almost, if not full, warmth. :P

You can set items to add warmth and or coverage in game.. and also reduce the rate of exposure to give yourself more time.

Be careful with the load on papyrus though.  Chesko has really optimized frostfall since its release, but there is only so far you can go with script reductions.

Yeah, script load is a problem. Looks like I'll have to drop Legacy of the Dragonborn until another time. I think I can drop Death Alternative since Deviously Cursed Loot has similar functions.

Haha  I had the same issue.. but dropped ineed and added legends.  I figured i can use CACO for hunger and sleep.. its pretty nonintrusive but i kinda miss ineed now.  I wish Last Seed would come out soon ><

Next playthrough you can alleviate some things somewhat by switching HDhighheels for NIHighHeels..  if you are willing to learn a bit of nif and TSVEdit to swap some compatibilities.

Also you only need the XPMSE plugin if you want everyone to use random combat styles.    It uses a cloak effect and that could put a small strain on a few things.  If you can live without,  maybe something you can ditch.

 

I'm surprised you didn't shove the wench series and prettier bandits in there =p

I'm not so good with the editing and such, so HDHeels is it. And I do like the random styles.

I remember trying Pretty Bandits and Immersive Wenches, not sure why I dropped them. It may have been in a past effort to trim mods. I've hit 254 a number of times.

I did play with Frostfall and DCL when I first discovered DCL. It works well for a while, but when your character gets stuck in a piece of equipment that locks a bodyslot from having warming (custom harnesses and catsuits especially), it really gets unplayable quickly. 

 

A Frostfall / DCL tietogether would need something to compensate for heat loss due to blocking devices to be functional, as well as a method to pitch a tent or light a fire when armbound. The first part would be rather easy - the friendly way would be to add a great big all-encompassing fur cloak which would work as a neck-and-down body coverage in relation to heat loss. More interesting ways would be integrating various Devious Devices to have warmth level similar to clothes. A more amusing way could be to add heating devices, such as heating plugs, cuffs and collars. 

 

Tents and bonfires. Well, I don't really know a good way to do this for an armbound character, but without the ability, you'd die pretty quickly. Armbinders are pretty essential (I feel) for a good bondage experience however, and as thus, it would need a solution. Problem is finding one that wouldn't feel overly silly / dumb (God, please no "Tent Shout" or random NPCs doing it for services).

I imagine that a full restrictive set; collar, corset, gloves and boots; would provide plenty of coverage and quite a bit of warmth. I figure that will take a bit of time to do (was hoping that somebody had made a patch). As for the rest, well, that's part of the idea.

I imagine a follower would be handy in the case of being arm-bound and needing a fire. Beyond that, I don't know. That's part of the challenge.

 

Ravyn doesn't look to enslave anyone or become a slave, she just likes kinky fun. And, if it leads her into trouble, well, that's the way it goes. :P

Thanks! Looks like I need some of the other patches as well.

That Warm Bodies one looks great and it should do the trick. I've already added Follow Me For Sex and there's also DCL's Solicitation that I can use to "generate a little warmth" :P

 

I haven't actually added Frostfall yet, still setting things up, checking out a Player Home to use in the beginning, make sure it doesn't conflict with anything else, that sort of thing.

For that location, I like Elysium Estates. When location is not important, my fav is East Reach House. Only player home I know of that includes BDSM. I'm checking out Forest Shack. Its on the shore of Lake Ilinalta. Half-Moon Mill shows up on the compass. I have some ideas for a rather large mod (if I can ever get the hang of CK) that includes a farm and flour mill and that area might work out. It needs to be on that "loop" of roads that run by Whiterun up to Riverwood, to the Three Guardian Stones, along the lake, past Half-Moon Mill and Captured Dreams, down to the plain and then past Greymoor to Whiterun.

 

At the moment, using ASLAL's Mercenary from South Morrowind start, if Ravyn can walk from there, past Riften and to the shack, then I'll know the game is stable enough to add Frostfall.

So, game is stable. Checked into how to add protection values to items and got stumped. It appears that I have to edit things using TES5Edit. Not good. While I've edited scripts in Second Life and OpenSim, those are very simple and basic.

Time to take the plunge :P

 

The forest Shack will work out nicely. I'm going to use the ASLAL Patron of Local Inn - Falkreath start.

 

I like to give myself an explanation for why she is where she is when the game starts, so ...

 

Ravyn's "been huntin' and fishin' in these parts for years" (which is why she has a shack on the lake) and is in Falkreath, having a pint and getting warm. She had planned on selling some fish and pelts she had, but got waylaid not far from town. She was able to hold off one of the bandits, but the other made off with her horse. Not only did she lose the fish and pelts, but also her cloak, tent, axe, pickaxe, all but one of her waterskins and the bulk of her food. She still has a few septims, but she has to replace everything. She'd hoped to make enough to buy a bit of armour, or maybe a better weapon.

You dont need to do that... go into the game MCM.  You can set custom item warmth and coverage from there.

 

Once frostfall is enabled.. as soon as you wear the item.. go to the MCM.

Look under Armor and clothing.  It will list everything you are wearing.  

Find the clothing and use the dropdown to change the TYPE from NO Protection to what you think it should be.

I am using Equippable Stockings and set a pair of sheer stockings to having a Warmth value of 5 and Coverage of 0.

 

She's already found a couple of items, but hasn't tried any on. No keys and I set DCL's key spawning to zero. The only way for her to find keys is on dead bodies (running For The Masses with a 10% chance of a key).

 

All in all, its going pretty good, though I did turn Fast Travel back on.

You can designate items in SL MCM strip editor to always be removed.   But ya... if you find something tedious that does not improve your game experience, there is no reason to use it.   But, if you find anything on you that you want removed when doin the yumyum bouncybouncy..  strip item editor is your friend.

Yea, tedious effects negatively impacting gameplay is sadly why I'm disliking a lot of the conseptually fun mods here. While there's a lot of good logic behind bondage devices being punishing to the character by adding negative effects, it also negatively impacts the game enjoyment of the player. 

 

I've tried Enchanted Devious Devices, and while I love the concept and feel that the balance between punishing and rewarding is far superior to other bondage-themed mods here, the lack of any sort of integration to DCL or other device-adding mods, devices tend to stack up or conflict a lot. Also, without an update matching the changed gear for DD, there's also a lot of equipment mismatches. 

BWitch is also a concept which adds gameplay potential rather than taking away, such as done by core DD bondage. The armbound spellcasting is rather... clunky however, and with how impractical follower control is in Skyrim, even with extensive follower modding, being a bondaged healer or spellcaster with a meatshield is very tedious. 

 

SD+, too, is an amazing concept, but since it basically completely neuters convensional gameplay and replaces it with a rather limited (and quite easilly bugged) event system without much player control or interaction. 

 

I dunno. Had I the energy, I'd love to learn coding through papyrus and whip something up, but the clunkiness of the CreationKit compiler and the slowness of loading skyrim to test code are both things that's holding me back.

I am still planning on doing a Frostfall playthrough in the future. This gave me a very good idea of what to expect. I'll probably add Hunterborn for that, as well. But, I think I will drop as many quests and NPC adders as possible, too, and concentrate on enhancing the environment for that. I recently tried a texture pack, NobleTextureMod or something like that, looked GREAT! but put too much load on and I ended up with a black screen whenever I loaded a save, any save. Damn, it looked good.

 

The idea being to play the game realistically, though not necessarily immersively. I think Frostfall, Campfire, Art of the Catch, Hunterborn, iNeed, A Matter of Time along with Sexlab & DD (of course), Simple Slavery, Death Alternative, Prison Overhaul would be a good start. Hmmmmm .... Devious Training, too. Maybe not Devious Framework since she'd get locked in bondage furniture only through the actions of mods (I don't use the leash game part anyway).
