Editing Mods Installed Through MO

Recommended Posts

Posted

I'm trying to edit a mod in Creation Kit, but I have my mods installed through Mod Organizer, so they're in separate places from the normal Skyrim folders and where Creation Kit is installed.  Creation Kit can't find the folder my mods are installed in, and I don't know how to show it where they are. Does anyone know how to get it to find the mods?

Thank you for any and all help/comments!

run Creation Kit via MO (ie. the same way you would run FNIS User Tool) - CK will detect all the esp and esm

You may have some  problems with compiling scripts though - so it depends what type of editing you want to do.

I tried installing it already (Edit>[create title]>[click the ellipses after Binary]>[find "CreationKit.exe"]>[Double-click it]), but it comes up with an error message (attached).

mine shows up automatically as long as CK is installed in Steam.

My MO's setup for the CK looks like this, maybe copy these:

Title:Creation Kit

Binary: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\CreationKit.exe

Starts in: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim

Argument: (empty)

Overwrite Steam ID (ticked): 202480

I didn't have anything in "Starts in," or "overwrite Steam ID."  I fixed that and it launches now, but it doesn't detect any of the mods.

The Steam ID should be 202480 I think
