Poontank said on July 09, 2012: All in all, the whole affair taught a valuable lesson to all of us - LoversLab is different. Considering on the Nesux any minor opposition against a moderator's decision automatically means an unavoidable ban, we apparently are a true adult forum. By unlocking your thread again, Ashal has delivered the ultimate proof for that. A much more mature and healthy relationship between a forum's members and staff, and I'm glad for it.

'Locking One Of My Threads Is A No-No

I can see your point of view and where your coming from but I have to say no. This is because by doing this its like adding fuel to a unstable fire. I very much doubt Han would like it being up there as a sticky reminding him that he messed up.

Maybe copying Poontank's words out of the thread and into a thread of which all the major event like this are held in. Like a reminders thread.

That's just my view on it though.

I think the entire thread has too much minor bickering to be made into a sticky but I think ashal's post should be included because it shows what a good and fair administrator he is. I know after reading that, any concerns I had about this ever being the nexus as the community grows were gone.Just a small opinion from a newbie:D

Nexus has ruined a lot of people because we just think mods and owners are all like that now--shame on us all for not knowing better--I learned a lot from this incident and I think we need 'something' to tell people that this a safe place to come in more than words: This shows deeds.

It doesn't have to be the quote above but it will tell people they've come to quite a different place indeed. We actually have adults here.

Han made a mistake, it happens--nothing wrong in that. I made a mistake, I admit it, I'm back. You won't see that on Nexus. Something to be proud of--let's show it in someway. Doesn't have to be a 'sticky'--that's just a suggestion.

This will be talked about on other websites and bring in more people--I'm positive of that.

Something to look up to. :)

PS: I didn't mean the whole thread as a sticky. Poor choice, my bad.

Oh my, it wasn't my intention to formulate the all-encompassing truth about LoversLab, written in stone for all eternity.

Just expressing my point of view what makes this forum special.

I wrote it after checking out this interesting thread about the RPG Codex discussion. In my opinion they all got it wrong over there, to them we are just a gang of hopelessly depraved perverts. Quote: "Those guys from 'loverslab.com' are the worst bunch I've come across so far."

Aww, izzat so? Yes, we might have uncommon tastes and sometimes strange preferences. But first and foremost, we are adults making use of our right to enjoy adult-oriented material. There's no need for members on here to have nannies watching over them, the fundamental flaw of a certain mister Scott's network of gaming sites. This forum here is catering to a mature audience capable of behaving like adults.

And moderators on LoversLab can be considered real 'partners' instead of a horde of distrustful sentinels detached from the site's members.

I find it hilarious that some knuckleheads try to pawn off lover lab as a weirdo site. Only an idiot would presume to make a judgement like that without coming over and getting to know us. Like they are not off looking at porn while pointing fingers. What a bunch of tools!

While I am just a mini-mod I really just consider myself a fellow perv.....:P

I'm very liberal so things like sex don't bother me. Pourhour's sig didn't bother me--I liked it. If I owned the website I still would have liked it. To me porn is seeing genitals in your face (real ones) in the sig.

I haven't seen the ads on here but I would guess they leave nothing to guess about when the dentist says 'open wide'?

Though those were some of my favorites words spoken in that thread, I voted no. Partly because it mentions Nexus in there and LL already has enough said about Nexus and Ashal might not want to be permanently branded as anti-Nexus to everyone visiting LL. It would be better to promote on our own merits and not while contrasting with the negative aspects of another similar site. Also, personally, I don't really want to be reminded every time I visit here of that thread. Maybe just post into the thread to keep it alive at least once a month or so as a reminder, and for the new people it would be awesome if you edited your first post in that thread adding in Poontank's quote, maybe? That's something you can just do yourself! Poontank would surely approve, too, right?

I expect the quote to be 'cleaned' up a little--but I'll do what you suggest.

Edit: Done. Brilliant suggestion Thesapeeian. :P

Edit Again: What a really wonderful group you all are.

Absolutely. I actually also voted 'no'. Edit: Arrgh, gawddammit! I just saw I voted 'yes'! It was late at night, my lack of concentration probably got the better of me. Shouldn't vote when sleepy. Wish I could take it back.

My dislike for Scotty's sites oftentimes clouds my judgment, instead of simply letting it go and moving on, my neverending grudge magically forces me to drop condescending allusions to that site all the time. Making me sound like a broken record.

But since this finally has come to my awareness that I should ease up a bit regarding this topic, I promise to work on my habit of unnecessarily flinging feces in the general direction of Robin S. and his people, eventually getting rid of it for good.

Maybe except when posting in the 'Problem With...' thread, would be paradox not to do it there :D.

You can take it back just select undo vote' date=' under the poll name. :P

I don't see any 'undo'--is that because I made the poll. (I have 'everything' turned on at this moment. :s )

PS: This poll runs for a week.

It says: * You voted for this item. (Show results)

I click 'show results'--that's what it does. Nothing else there. :dodgy:

Ya the rules here really are pretty great and mods have generally been very kind and they listen to your complaints, instead of just banning you outright with no chance to defend yourself. I really am amazed that I haven't been warned for some of the things I have posted on this forum...but that's probably because the mods here actually use their minds, and not their wallets.

The undo button is here or at least it should be.

Actually Ark' date=' I don't think you should be able to do that. I don't have an undo button either.

:s hmmmm this site is getting more and more weird as the day goes on.

Maybe you're just now discovering your internet super powers!

Seriously, the site seems to be under construction today. Maybe refresh your browser and see if that edit your vote option is gone? Or back again? I wonder if it is supposed to be there for all of us or a new feature or old feature or what is going on? What browser are you using?

And are you sure you're not dreaming right now? I don't think I'm real so you're probably asleep.
