CTD when trying to equip Dianqing armor (fixed)

So I downloaded Dianqing armor (for CBBE + BBP) and every time I try and equip any piece. The game instantly kicks me to the desktop. I can use other BBP armor just fine, it is just this one for some reason.

 

Here is what the mod has in it...

 

Main

-AoD - Dianqing Armor.esp

textures - AoD - dianqing - twelve dds files

meshes - AoD - Dianqing - four .nif files

 

that is correct, right? If so, wonder why it crashes for me. It looks like a really well made outfit. But, I don't know why it crashes. Unless it is because it isn't compatible with monli + bodyslide.

As far as I know Dianquing armor(s) is UNP and UNP BBP, not CBBE, there is also a CHSBHC version but with a different name. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It might be the bug in UNPB body mesh. It CTDs whenever the game tries to load different body mesh for your player character.

I had a problem with CTD on equipping as well, but I fixed it by reinstalling UNPB + BBP. It might have something to do with the body mesh's skeleton, I'm not sure. As Brigadier mentioned, I don't think I've seen a CBBE version flying around.

Ah, okay. That must be why then. It uses UNPB and not CBBE.

Clothes made for BBP will CTD every time you try to wear them.

At least was like this for me with some bikinis made for CHSCHB. I was using CBBE and had CTD, then I downloaded the CHSCHB and it worked.

I'm using BBP from bodyslide. So, that should work well enough, right? All my other BBP clothes and armor works fine...I even tested a few armors/clothes from that large BBP pack in the download section.

 

I think it must be because it uses UNP. But, I've used UNP armor/clothes, and those didn't crash. But those weren't for UNPB BBP.

Yeah, that was one of the potential fixes that I saw in the sticky thread. But, maybe because I'm using a custom race (Monli race), it still CTD's. When I get a chance, I'll see if vanilla races don't crash with that fix.

I got it working. For some reason, when I downloaded or/and transferred the mod from my laptop to my PC (I can't use Nexus on my PC for the next week)...something went weird and corrupted the file or something. I noticed because it was only 1kb, which seemed rather small. Instead, I had a friend download that UNP fix and he uploaded it...and it worked fine. Came out to be about 12 KB or something...so something was off.

 

Thanks so much for the fix Now I can use that awesome Dianqing outfit.

The only problem now, is that it has that incompatible texture bug. Since it was made with UNP and not CBBE. It has buggy feet textures/waist. But I think there is a guide somewhere, on how to turn a UNP (or CBBE) armor, to be used with the opposite. Anyone by chance have a link to that? If not, I'll see if I can find it later or next time I get a chance.

Just get Arcs Magika version, its CBBE ... well its CBBE and CHSBHC since both options are in the mod (you dont even have to pick as they are both available in the game).
