The "title" of an avatar can be set up by yourself in your profile. Just edit it and type what you want.

In case it is not set, then there is one automatically generated, based on the number of your posts (Validating, New Member, Junior Member, Advanced Member, Mega Poster, etc.)

Isn't the title only changeable after a person has X amount of posts? Otherwise it's not there till they hit that post count.

One of my friends has changed her title at a post count of 85 or something, so the amount of posts required for customization can't be that high.
