Some Helmets Not Working

So I was playing through the Forgotten City mod and suddenly some of the helmets in my inventory started bugging out. The icon for them (the two helmets that aren't working are the novice mage hood and the Arbiter's Helmet) turned to a shield icon instead of the helmet/hat icon and when I try to equip it nothing happens. The little tick appears in the inventory saying it's equipped, but it doesn't appear on my character and the enchantments/effects don't work. It also lets me equip other helmets while the other one is supposedly on. I don't even know for sure when it started as it just kind of came out of the blue. I tried going way back to a save I made yesterday, before this even started, and those two helmets are still broken. I checked loot and there are no errors, and I tried to clean my save (although idek if that could help this), but there were no problems. 

 

I have Helmet Toggle and I think that may have something to do with it, so I'm going to reinstall it after I post this, but I'd really appreciate any suggestions here. I tried to search for other people who've had this problem, but I'm either not inputting the right keywords, or nobody's had this problem.

It has happend to me on few ocassions , helm toggle is the culpirt. Sadly i dont know any fixes.

Some Helmets are not Made for Beast Races, like the "Gladiator Helmet" its a Mod i use too, but if i equip it, my Khajiit Head disappear, and the Helmet won't show. But on all other Races it works. (

 

 

If you use Helmet Toggle, from nexusmods, please read this, its shown on the Mod Page:

 

- Added safe guard to stop the script from stacking helmet checks to avoid the mod breaking if switching helmets quickly.
It is still possible to break the mod if you hotkey two helmet using the favorites menu and switch between them very quickly while a helmet is hidden.
A clean save will fix the issue.

 

I hope this helps anyhow.

 

Try load an older Savegame and lets see if it works again.
