[Suggestion] Drugging/Drinking

I think it would be really neat if there was a mod where there were lovers-style sexual consequences for over-drinking or taking drugs. Accepting a drink from a guy at a bar could get you drugged, pass out, and molested in your sleep. Or if you're drunk and someone asks you for sex, there's no option to say no... you're too drunk to not be a slut. Stuff like that... ways for npc's to get you drunk or drugged so they can molest you. Just a suggestion! No one in loverslab has made use of alcohol before, but I find the Drunken Dragon Mod is the closest thing we have to it.

It is a good idea. It has been implemented in Slave Trader/Bravil underground but only for NPC's. You can enslave or sex up others after getting them to drink golden mead or skooma.

I'd really like to see features for NPCs get applied to PCs, and vice-versa. It'd give more life to the game and make your character not so... Either a verified target, or practically invincible. NPCs being able to drug the PC could also have another side effect... NPCs being able to drug each other.

 

I saw an addiction mod somewhere; for roleplayers, it might be interesting to be "slipped" a drug, get addicted to it, and sort of fall into prostitution as a way to get a fix. Just an idea of what might come about from the combinations.

difference in race, endurance and just the person all take part in determining how much s\he can drink, and there are WAY too many custom races out there to be able to take them all into account.

 

Some people turn violent when drunk\drugged. Others melancholic. Some slutty and others haughty. Making a mod that'd let the player actually play his character will take a LOT of work.

 

There are also mods that allow players to pass the 100 base endurance cap (such as Elly's Uncapper). These will complicate calculations a little further.

 

Addiction is even harder to script. You have to take willpower into account, as well as endurance and race (to see if the player is at all affected by the drink\drug).

And, of course, there's withdrawal symptoms that'd be absolutely impossible to script.

 

 

I know that I, for one, wouldn't want to play a mod where I only have a choice to have my character mass raped without taking any of her traits into consideration (ex: Cursed Armor).

 

Again, I'm not saying it's a bad idea. It's just that it's hard to implement. If someone had a working formula that'd feel like it's "realistic" but gives the player enough freedom to still play his own game then I'd be the first to tip my hat in their honor.

 

Perhaps a base frame could be made and each player can contribute one set of responses. I can't script to save my life, but I would definitely be willing to write dialog if such a mod was made.

your over complicating things, it can be done rather easily you just would not be able to easily add in tons of variables.

 

for instance as for how much a player can drink that can be set to 3+ anything after 3 add in a % chance that the player passes out or is to drugged up to stop what is happening

 

you do not need to do this for races just set it to player and that will cover even custom races

 

i understand a lot of how to go about it, just not how to put it all into one neat neat package

Well, you could do it that way... But, if you ask me, it'd look mighty strange if a tough nord warrior can't drink more than a fragile elven mage...

 

I'm not sure how you would go about it. What I had in mind is something like:

-Wait timer once the player enters a bar

-Spawn rapist with an ambush package to initiate dialog

-Have some generic dialog lines that won't imply too much about the player character

-End conversation (few drinks) or start the action (lots of drinks)

 

I could've messed the whole thing up, of course...

Additionally, you could always imply that some sort of "date rape" drug was slipped into the drink in the first place.

I think a configuration script that give you six buttons "+10, +5, +1, -1, -5, -10" and let you adjust from 1 to 100 drinks/drugs should solve that problem?

A hundred? I thought something along the lines of 1-8 would be good for most people, perhaps 1-20 for people playing demons\angels\whatever.

Still, it'd be hilarious to play with one hundred, now that I think of it.

 

If you would like, I can try and help by adding dialog and perhaps a few side effects. Perhaps a custom tavern where the rapists will show up?

Is someone going to actually make my suggestion? =O This is great! The custom tavern is a good idea, especially if argonians or khajits can be the rapists sometimes. x3 Also it'd be nice if the character drank too much on her own, she'd pass out and wake up somewhere being molested... sort of like if you get jumped while sleeping in joburg, except you'd get moved. Like they got drunk and blacked out.

A female pc could ask one of the npcs there to buy her a drink. Depending on her personality s\he will either refuse, agree, or agree and put a drug in the drink.

If he buys the pc enough drinks he could ask her for sex, and if she had a little too much "no" wouldn't be an answer.

 

I might add alternative dialog for melancholic characters, and for more violent ones later on. I think I might have an idea how to do that... As long as no packages are involved. We'll see if anyone is even interested in this.

 

As for male pcs, I'll be sure to add female npcs as well with their own dialog.

I think that would be a fantastic idea. =D It doesn't add consequence to normal drinking, but it's fun, interesting, and something no one has done. ^.^ I would love something like that.

Unfortunately, a consequence for drinking too much would be a little beyond my abilities as a scripter.

 

I assume it would require some altering of the beer\ale\wine magic effects, attaching a script, but I have no idea how to cause said script to have a nearby npc run an ambush package so they will approach the player.

 

 

As for the tavern, where do you think would be a good place for it?

As for the tavern, yes. Hrm. *thinks* Possibly leyawin (the southeast city, if I have the name right) or the one to the north of that, both can seem pretty seedy. You might want to make it a standalone outside of the waterfront.... some place where there wouldn't be lots of guards around.

Sometimes idea's need to be kicked around for a bit before anyone jumps on a project. This is a great idea so dont get discouraged if no one immediately snaps to it. At the moment most of those who can create this are tied up in other projects, and others who have free time and knowledge simply may not have stumbled onto this thread yet. So give it time and continue to discuss the idea here, keep the thread alive and someone who can might just jump on it
