Creation Kit safe to download now?

Is it safe to download the latest version of CK now?

I've left my steam offline since I saw those terrible reports that new CK breaks mods. But later from somewhere it was said that it is fixed=p

So can anyone tell me plz?

There has never been anything wrong with it. It doesn't break mods unless it's human error due to the user being a moron. Patch 1.6 broke some as it was a major patch which changed some base code in the game which made mods incompatable. The CS had nothing to do with it.

The Creation Kit update removed ALL selections on the arma and armo forms for ANY mod created prior to the update, as soon as said mod was edited in the updated kit. Which is why many mods made prior to the update, STILL worked after the game patch, as long as they weren't edited in the newer kit.

If you're editing a mod made prior to the CK update, you just have to re-select the right parts in the above mentioned forms to bring the mod up to 1.6 compatibility if it uses any custom meshes. If it's a race mod, you also need to update the combat events tab on the race form, so the race can use mounted combat correctly (if you need to setting, just let me know)

 

The only "morons" are the retards at Bethesda who utterly fail to mention changes like this in the update notes, and just break shit without any regard for the amount of work that goes into it.

Yea, if Bethesda does not want to kill off the modding community they damn well better get this nonsense figured out with more testing and release notes prior to pushing out a patch!

 

Personally I am still offline with steam as I am too lazy to update all my custom armors to the 1.6 patch.

 

@Ark of Truth - yes they really did F'up with the CK. I found out like so many others that custom armors were suddenly broken after making an edit with the updated CK. I rolled back my CK and the custom armor esp, then edited it and bang the custom armors were back. Fortunately I wasn't using any custom race mods so that part I dodged.

What do you mean "lead"? If you mean use...you can leave steam offline and still use the ck with no problem.
