Vitriks Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 So basically I need to paint weight for neck cover. Usually I just load hands or body and copy weights from there. But what should I do with neck and chin? Here is the picture.
Perraine Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Load the vanilla female head, and also load the "female head back" (in the face parts subdirectory i think?) Or alternatively you can load something like the "Winter Hat" as that also has side pieces that come down to almost the shoulder, so it has shoulder bones as well IIRC, and maybe the Bandana (under armor/dog gear) for the lower face bone weights

Can you please upload them.
Perraine Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 You just need to extract them from the vanilla meshes.bsa files. I couldn't upload them anyway, because they are copyrighted Bethesda files, so that would be illegal.

Vitriks Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 So I managed to make thing work but there is a small problem. When character is talking chin part of collar is not moving. I tried using "BaseFemaleHead_faceBones.nif" as reference, but it doesn't want to work.

Copying the weights of both of the head NIFs separately won't work properly, you'll have to use an outfit head piece as a reference as recommended above.

There is "FWinterHat_faceBones.nif" but it make OutfitStudio crash.
Vitriks Posted January 25, 2017 Author Posted January 25, 2017 I actually find the best head+neck+shoulders reference. It's Sack Hood data/textures/armor/RaiderModArmor/HeadGear1_F.nif But chin still wont move while talking =\ And I don't how to copy reference with face bones. =(
