Combining Meshes (NIFs)

Hi.

 

I've been trying to combine a headmesh (femalehead.nif) with a couple of horns (GargoyleHornsF.nif)

All the mods needed for "Daedric Princess Nox - Skin Texture for Custom Race" to work is listed above.

 

 

I'm using the CustomNord of "Custom Races" and the femalehead.nif from it.

 

Both the femalehead.nif and the GargoyleHornsF.nif can be found in the "Daedric Princess Nox - Skin Texture for Custom Race" mod, I have successfully transferred the horns over to the femalehead.nif using Niftools, but they never show up in game, so I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong, or nothing right at all.

 

Is the problem that the femalehead.nif used also have 3 TRI files attached to it when I check the "Custom Races" .esp files?

 

 

I wonder if there is anyone that could take a look at it and see if they could help med get the horns merged (and test it so it definitely works in game) with the head so I do no longer need the "TDN Equipable Horns" mod installed.

I do not know if it's a good idea to include an additional mesh in the Femalehead.nif.

 

But if it has to be:

The horns are Slot 42 (Circlet) - they are not displayed.

 

 

The easiest way to fix this is - Make the mesh neutral (no slot).

 

In NikSkope - Horn mesh:

NiTriShape-> BSDismemberSkinInstance -> Right click -> Block -> Convert-> NiSkinInstance.

Yeah, I've not found anything that seems to cover this, and I will give up for now.

Will be looking into converting the horns into hair instead in the future.

Turning the Horns into hair went way faster then I thought...
