Reconsidering my setup

Forgive me if this is not the right board for this.  I want to discuss both an non-adult and an adult mod so I don't know which board this should go on.

 

Had a lot of trouble when I switched over to a new gaming rig a few months ago.  For some reason the Springtime ENB I had been using was not agreeable with it.  After experimenting with different ENBs for a while I settled on the Rampage ENB.  That worked fine for a while.  But eventually this ENB also broke.  I later settled on the Opethfeldt ENB because, with a few tweaks, it closely resembled the Springtime ENB.

 

But even Opethfeldt has its own set of weird graphical glitches.  They’re just hard to see in still shots.  Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of pics made using the Snapdragon ENB.  I’ve looked at it and it has several settings that don’t look half bad.  I was thinking of trying it out to see how it looks. 

 

I’m also thinking of changing body types.  For a while for my playthroughs and my comic series I used the CHSBHC body type.  I liked it but it wasn’t widely supported.  So I moved to CBBE Bodyslide.  This was good for a while but it seems to be receiving less and less support these days.  The UUNP Bodyslide seems to be getting more and more attention.  I heard I can create a body preset that is similar to my current CBBE Bodyslide but it will be compatible with all the new UUNP outfits I’ve seen come out lately.

 

What are you thoughts on this?  Have you tried out Snapdragon?  Have you had any problems with it?  One or two of the mods or profiles seem similar to the ENBs I’ve been using.  Would you agree?  Just check out later chapters of my comic series for examples of the Springtime ENB. 

 

What about UUNP?  Is it becoming as popular as I seem to think it is?  It is based on the UNP body type right?  Outfits for that will work with UUNP but just won’t adapt to your custom proportions?

I tried snapdragon and it slowed my system down to less that 30fps it is meant for screenshots and some commenters on their page claim even with a gtx1080 they only get 30fps tops. For me it made all the roads extremely bright and just kind of washed out everything as usual. No matter what ENB I use everything looks like shit and runs really slow so I just gave up on ENB and stuck with ENB BOOST to get around the memory limits of skyrim. I hate unp since it just gobbles up all the time of body and outfit modders so we have to just wait for someone experienced at conversions to fix things to work with CBBE and that takes YEARS sometimes. I have still not found any of the outfits for aethersuite converted to CBBE and I probably never will. I have tried for many hours to fix some outfits and it always turns out bad not working right whatever. There is also usually no bodyslide files for unp outfits and sometimes no HDT support either.

 

If you moved from an nvidia setup to an amd setup that might be the main problem as I think amd stuff doesn't play nice with ENB and most ENB are made for nvidia stuff it seems.

Using snapdragon gave me the same problems as mentioned above. But maybe disabling DOF works very well, haven't tried that yet.

I tried disable DOF and some other stuff too but still very low fps even in small player home like breezehome except when facing the door once I turned the view around to the rest of the interior cell it slowed down again.

That would be an EVGA supernova PSU:-)

 

Don't trust that samsung SSD get some kind of backup software to make a weekly image of that thing and be prepared to replace it in a year or less. All the SSD drive are just about the same now anyways with exceptions being intel and one or two others but sandisk makes some reliable stuff and cheap too. I wish I could trust a 5TB hard drive to not fail in less than ten years I really do but dam, how do you backup something like that?

 

Windows 10 sux it would have been better to get win7 unless you are planning on some dx12 gaming over the next two years and that is being really optimistic. I think the game devs will focus more on vr crap than dx12 because vr doesn't only come from microsoft. Gaming has to move beyond microsoft at some point otherwise it is trapped in their crap software.

 

With those specs you should see minimum of 30fps with snapdragon but still it will be slow however it might almost be playable depending on your play style and what mods you play.

When it comes to ENB,

 

Open the Skyrim directory find,

 

ENBseries.ini

 

CTRL-F

type in quality

 

When you search through these you will find that the settings are set at cap.

The value range is also odd as -2 is the Quality Setting,

2 is the Performance Setting.

 

Since your on Windows 10, there are some issues with Win10 and Skyrim with ENB something about a memory cap?

I would figure that using the performance settings would be the way to go.

 

I did read that you have a 1070 card.  Its got something to do with Direct X libraries being phased out on WIN10 not your card.

I cannot give you an unbiased opinion about UUNP seeing as I authored Book of UUNP.

Chances are if you switch to UUNP you will be using a slider set I made.

Windows 10 recent update of some kind disables multi monitor support:-( Guess they really know how to leave turds in the punch bowl at parties over there at microsoft.
