Help with a Nif: How do I get rid of this black sheen?

I got the idea to replace the Cards of Fate in icecreamassassin's Legacy of the Dragonborn with cards of a distinctly different, more breast-related nature. As I have no ability in working with actual meshes to create new custom cards of my own, I set about simply replacing textures and making edits in Nifskope. However, I've run into something I can't seem to get around here, as follows:

Once the player completes a deck in the mod, they can be combined into a single item. However, the mesh used for this item is basically a solid block of wood with the Ace card's texture on one side and the back texture on the other, kind of disappointing if I wanted to see more than just the one card. So I instead aimed to make the deck item use a separate model used in the mod that displays all 13 cards spread out in a hand, with the meshes moved around so I can view all of the cards in the complete deck.

So here's the problem. Judging by the mesh names in the nif, icecreamassassin apparently created the individual cards used in the full hand nif by editing the vanilla moonstone ingot mesh, I presume by copying the meshes into the nif file. (Whereas the other card models were apparently made by copying into a flute) Whatever was used to create the ingot models seems to have given these card meshes some strange interaction with light, with heavy black shadows obscuring portions of the cards. I've tried changing what I could find to make it match the individual card meshes, such as setting it to use vertex colors in the NiTriShapeData or changing Specular settings in BSLightingShaderProperty, but nothing seems to work. How can I make these things stop looking like this and react to light more like other objects do? Or is it a lost cause due to the way the nifs were created?

The middle card is the result of me trying to add an empty texture as a normal map, as these cards do not have one assigned. While it helps a bit, as it's visibly brighter than the surrounding cards, the black sheen still persists in some areas, such as when trying to view the back of the cards. I'll attach the nif I have here just in case it helps to track down the cause.

Oh, thank you! That fixed it completely! May I ask what it was that needed to be changed? Are you saying there was another setting for glossiness in the nif I was missing?

The meshes were not normalized - Faces wrong side.

To fix: Right click on mesh -> Menu: meshes -> Submenu: Face Normals

Then the same submenu: Update Tangent Space

Ah, thank you again.

I also realized what you meant by the glossiness being at 1000, but that was just something the original creator had set for whatever reason he had. I don't think there should be any ill effects apart from being shiny as heck, but I think I can fix that myself if any problems arise.
