Fixadent Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 I'm in the process of building an enthusiast gaming PC that has the following specs. *Core i7 7700K *16GB DDR4 2100MHz RAM *ASUS Maximus IX Formula Z270 motherboard *Two-way SLI GeForce GTX 1080 ASUS STRIX ROG How many graphics mods can I get away with installing without dropping below 60fps at 1920x1080?
gregathit Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Pretty much all of them I'd think. Add in an SSD to the above mix and you should be fast as you are going to get.
Fixadent Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 How about Skyrim SE with ENB and other grass/tree/weather mods?
gregathit Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Depends on the enb mod. There are some that aren't very optimized. But on the whole, you should be just fine. Not a whole lot of stuff out for SE at the moment.
Tortex Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I'm using two 1080. FPS without mods is >150 at max/ultra settings and 3840 x 2160. It took 30gb~ in mods to get FPS down to 80 or so. Amusingly, God Rays on Ultra is like a 80% performance hit, still. With GR OFF at 1080 with two 1080 the game will be partially unplayable because FPS will be so high that the physics/animations break. SLI scaling with current drivers is nearly 100% increase, which is nice but unusual.
