Sweatington Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 And what do you preffer out of SPERG, Perma or Ordinator?I've tried both SPERG and Perma. I liked them both for different reasons. Sperg for how lightweight on the load order it is, and Perma is just bad ass well made overhaul, but it requires a shit ton of compatibility patches. I've never tried this Ordinator though. How is it compared to the other two?
AnubiSs2167 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I use ordinator, big Enai fan, use all of his mods. Never tried the other two.
Shiratama Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I only tried SkyRe, PerMa and Ordinator. I dislike both SkyRe and PerMa for the same reasons: they do too much. When I want a perk overhaul I want it to change perks and only perks or else I would just use Requiem. Ordinator does just that and offers a good variety of perks but because its design philosphy is very different from vanilla it's not for everyone. To summarize, Ordinator can be a bit... gimmicky at times (maybe not the most accurate word, but I can't think of another right now), in that a lot of perks only take effect under certain conditions and don't necessary result in an immediate power boost like in vanilla. But vanilla perks are boring and cover things that the skill itself should cover, so Ordinator is good enough for me.
Sweatington Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 Thanks for the info guys. I'll keep this mod in mind next time I'm starting a new profile.
Shadowscale Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I like PerMa. While it has a lot in it I like how different weapon types have their own feeling with the blunt, slashing, pierce types that have their own debuff or helps ignore armor. My only issue with SPERG was your character got insanely powerful quickly which leads to steamrolling if you don't use any difficulty mods with it while my issue with Requiem is it feels way too tedius. Its fine having things enemies not have scaling, but my issue with it is that shouldn't even lower levels has some things they can kill without having to spend many levels just grinding crafting to buy training before you can kill a wolf safely. Don't get me started on light armor and enemy archers in that one.
Nergui Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 I use my own which was influenced by various mods.
Fuscia Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Currently using and would recommend Ordinator. Really did like and used both SkyRe and Perma for a long time too but in my experience so was they very "invasive" with the patchers and messed most savegames up if you changed out or updated (other) mods and recompiled the patches mid-playthrough.
Killing Joke Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Perma : invasive, some very interesting trees, some game design choices I've found questionable so I didn't like it much in the end. SPERG: used it a long time but outdated now and has big balance issues. So i'm not going to be original, I recommend Ordinator too. I especially love the conjuration/necro tree but others are great too.
