Ashal is only one guy and with only a few moderators they can't be expected to read every post or thread on LL Unless some one actually reports to Ashal or a moderator something they feel is breaking LL forum or site rules it will fall through the cracks.

Seems to me someone is rallying a little mob instead of just messaging Ashal. I look at those mods and see that they COULD be interpreted as cartoon child porn. They also look like some small, petite girls I've dated. Looks a lot like the more Asian body types and art style, as well. The ones with pointy ears and wings look like ferries, my favorite! I see lots of things, depending on the fantasy context.

But I thought the word had evolved into meaning a young girl style not necessarily meaning underage girl.Thespien and I have had debates on how best to protect children from sexual themes but in this I have to agree with him. This is totally in the eye of the beholder some see children others see pixies, hobbits, ferries and other wee folk who could be hundreds of years old.

Two completely different things though [/quote'] Yeah that's what I was meaning. I play a X117 lope ear chr in obliv but I never considered her a child. I haven't played much skyim so don't know much about whats going on in that section of LL. I do think that pedophiles are the lowest humans on earth, taking the innocence of children is worse than even murder in my book.If mods are advertised as being children and are nude then that is wrong but just because they are smaller than vanilla race don't make it a pedophlia mod either... grrr this makes my head hurt, I'm glad I don't have to sort this out.
Deman40 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 There are some valid points in this thread and I value everyones input (even if I don't agree) beng4321 has a great point.I use x117 characters alot which I consider a race mod,but it's a matter of what the player themselves imagine them to be.You can't prevent someone who has pedo ideology from considering that to be a child.It's a very grey area and I in no way support,condone or would tolerate that ideology in real life or in my RPG world,there are ways to to make or use a mod without it being a obvious loli mod IMHO

As long as I don't see it, I'm not going to go rage about it. I think that it's the face of loverslab that really matters here. We're already infamous enough with our more..."taboo" mods which don't really do us any good to outside eyes, associating children in a way that is in any way sexual would only make it worse. The worst possible scenario is that loverslab gets shut down due to this kind of stuff and I'd absolutely hate to see that happen. At any rate, that's just my useless input on all this. In the end, it's up to Ashal as to do here.

My own personal distaste for such content aside. And for the record I use an x117 character for oblivion myself. I use a fully developed body however and don't picture it as a child, just a younger short adult. Loli content is allowed here, Loli != sex. Loli is just a Japanese term used to describe a young cute female, no sexual connotation. If you start adding sexual overtones to it though, and I mean actual sex or nudity; then it starts becoming a problem for me.

I can easily understand how the owner/ moderator/ big boss of the site might not want to draw fire by associating with that genre. That's just a practical effort at keeping away bad press. And with 'pedo' being the new witch-hunt word, that caution is rightly deserved. What I don't get is when it became definitively illegal and not just a horrible legal morass. Did I miss a court ruling somewhere?
