JoshQ Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I was thinking in adding one more unit to the “Impossible Feet” I use for high heels, it will elongate the ankle area and elevate your sim 6 units instead of 5. The rest will remain the same including compatibility with the default legs and custom meshes that follow the leg/ankle seam. On the image below you can see the original length on the left and the new one on the right (and marked in red). It’s a simple process and shouldn’t take much time to complete. I just wanted to ask your opinion because, surprisingly, I don’t use sex mods nor animations suites except for brief testing so in short I completely ignore how you use the stuff I upload or even if it works correctly beyond the basic use, so this can also be considered a feedback thread. I now some of you would like to make a request but sadly I don’t have much time available and I prefer to use it making “simpler” stuff like stockings and heels but mostly goofing around.
zzz72w3r Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I prefer the red better mainly because the back of the heel is less "impossible"
Kurasoberina Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I'm down either way - your heels are the only (and I mean only - I deleted all of my other heels recently) ones I use, and I trust your judgement! So, in the close-up on the right, the red actually looks shorter, so is the length added to the ankle/leg as opposed to the foot?
JoshQ Posted November 18, 2016 Author Posted November 18, 2016 Forgot to add, the reason why I'm looking into adding 1 unit is because "wider" legs look a bit shorter than normal sized, specially when you compare the default legs vs MedBod. Of course the longer you go the more problems you get with clipping and maybe with some specific animations, so adding just 1 unit looks like a safe bet. I prefer the red better mainly because the back of the heel is less "impossible" Closed shoes allow you to manipulate the shape with more freedom unlike sandals and alike. Also those shoes are my very first original mesh so I had the chance to control the contour and details to the very last vertex, I'm extremely happy with the result I'm down either way - your heels are the only (and I mean only - I deleted all of my other heels recently) ones I use, and I trust your judgement! So, in the close-up on the right, the red actually looks shorter, so is the length added to the ankle/leg as opposed to the foot? Yep, literally I froze the vertices on the feet seam and moved down everything else one unit, then I moved up the next two rows to compensate and to minimize texture stretching. Here's how it looks in-game: On the left I used the Nosferatus and on the right my next release (will be ready on sunday).
Kurasoberina Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Ah, I see! Thanks so much for the explanation and screenshot examples! They look flawless - and the proportions look even more realistic now. Very excited for this release!
