cha0sbsuter Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 So I have this kinky-ass idea, inspired by a little game known as Noone's Fatty Text Adventure. This game is where I have most of my modding experience, I used to have fun making custom items in this game using Minerva to edit the save. In this point and click text adventure, you can wander about a world, defeating enemies, doing quests, standard RPG stuff But it also features a stomach fullness and weight gain/distribution system. When you eat or get filled by an opponent's attack, your stomach becomes fuller and can distend. If it stays full long enough, you can increase your capacity. It goes down over time, but you will gain weight. Training off this weight can increase speed and strength, or you can let it accumulate if that's more your thing. I want to implement something like this into Skyrim at a much simpler level. I want to have a status on the player that increases and shows messages on the screen at certain intervals of stomach fullness, and have it decrease with time. Maybe at some point there'd be a spell to inflate the caster or a target with air. Once I get better with the Creation Kit, I want to visually represent it on the character with belly scaling but that's quite far off yet. Maybe even have weight gain where the rest of the nodes would scale depending on character weight. Ideas, ideas. But that's the problem. I have no idea what I'm doing with Creation Kit. My friend told me I'd need to have a magic effect handling the status and variables and such, and I feel like Papyrus may be an alternative option, but... I literally have no clue how to even get started, and I don't have the intention span to watch endless tutorial videos on it. Could someone point me in the right direction, maybe give me some example scripts and how to use them, to find out what the hell I'm even remotely supposed to be doing with this? I opened up Creation Kit and I'm so goddamn lost. Or if someone's feeling this idea like I am maybe they can do it for me, who knows, the idea's up for grabs if you want it and can do it justice. Thanks in advance, guys!
MorePrinniesDood Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Body node scaling is a Papyrus function, so a script will be needed. My inflation mods Egg Factory and now Diet Based Butt include source code you could look at to see how the various things are tracked, attached and called.
nosdregamon Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Step 1) There should be "scripts.rar" in skyrims data-folder. Unzip this. It should create "Data\Scripts\Source" with readable, uncompiled Scripts. This will be helpful in the long run. Step 2) https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Bethesda_Tutorial_Papyrus_Hello_World Step 3) ??? Step 4) Proftit. (Just kiddding with Step 3 & 4). There's a lot of different ways to add scripts and many ways to organize variables/states and so on. I'm struggling there as well. I Suggest trying to organize features in form of a quest (add one under "Character->Quest" and add your scripts in the script-tabs of the quest). To make visible bigger bellies you'd need SKSE and NIOverride (If you have Racemenu, you have these allready).

So I'm doing Papyrus then for compatibility when I decide to add that, noted. Thanks everybody! If you have further advice leave 'em here, otherwise I guess I just gotta hit the books~ You can have a look to my Reference guide for Papyrus, if you like. Will give it a peek!
Nazzzgul666 Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 There already is a mod with some basic functions what you like to achieve, maybe you can just make an addon, or get some hints how to do things: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/53271-weightmorphs/ It's quite simple: eating (including custom food like from RND) will give you weight and you lose weight for running around. I love this mod for all the options it's MCM has, beside the idea in general of course. However, a full belly before getting weight sounds nice.
