Cock Sucker Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 not sure if that's been noticed or altered also (the vidplayer code) but I use a different intro screen other than the skyrim booom, boom, boom, booooooom screen. when I changed the bik intro vid it worked but the colours were all different O_O is this a known issues as well?
Guest Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Probably the format of the bik video is updated. Try to use a FO4 bik video and re-try.
SlapMeSilly Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 The issue doesn't seem to have anything to do with the video file itself. The Classic and Special Edition use the same format video file. The classic is 1280x720 32b color yuv420p encoding with 1 audio track at 44,100hz 16-bit stereo. Special Edition is 1920x1080 32b color yuv420p encoding with 2 audio tracks at 44,100hz 16-bit stereo. Details from the RADTools file info function. So unless the native encoder tool doesn't understand how to read it that should be accurate. I tried doing my own and had the same issue. Colors were basically purple tinted. I tried playing around with some color filters before encoding it to bik but I couldn't find the right mix to get the result I wanted. Decided to just disable the boot logo. I like the faster start anyway. I noticed that playing the Bethesda logo file in Skyrim Classic, MPC-HC, RAD Tools, or VLC all had the logo being very silver. Viewing it in Special Edition had a bronze look to it. So the game seems to be something to the colors during playback even on the original file. Not sure if these will look good here but samples: First is Special Edition, then Classic, then from MPC-HC.
27X Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Since a bunch of the new shaders are precompiled (WHY, seriously; the hell would you do that) that kinda makes sense. If Boris does bite the bullet for an ENB, I wouldn't expect the same level of awesome compared to 32.
