johnnywatwat Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Hello, Just wanted to get some input on my decision to release a voice pack for a custom follower. I've been working on re-purposing voice files from popular custom voiced followers (e.g., Recorder, Sofia) for use as SexLab voices much like how Amorous Adventures does it for conversations. Except this is much easier, since I'm not parsing sentences together. I'm just wondering how it will work out with copyright and mod author rights. I just highly doubt that the voice actors will consent to have their voice bastardized for perversion. I'm just wondering if it even matters, and what you guys think about it. I'm maybe 50% of the way with Recorder and 10% for Sofia. If the consensus is "no-go", then I'll just keep the voice packs for personal use. Otherwise, I'll release it here.
Guest Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 OK. I cannot see the mod, so I just give you some general rules: 1) If you use a mod from another author (any asset), then you have to comply with the original redistribution rules of the original mod. 2) If you modified something of an existing mod, that was allowed to be modified and redistributed, then just credit the original author (that should always be done.) 3) If the original author does NOT allow redistribution (of the original mod, or of its assets), then just forget to upload the mod.
27X Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Fairly certain that the Sofia voice actress and also mod creator is perfectly fine with 'stuff' occurring as the authors thereof literally altered the original mod so Sofia could be the protagonist's SO. Obviously the smart thing to do is ask.

I'll check in with potasticpanda and djjohnjarvis then.
