prideslayer Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Attached is an example baseline script for others wishing to FOMOD their plugins as I've done with Sexout as of release 62. The two most important things this offers, to me, are: 1. Adjusting load order during install. 2. Checking version of other installed mods. The version checking in sexout itself is prone to me forgetting to raise it, and I don't think many mods are checking it anyway to ensure compatability. Checking in the fomod script is easier. Bonus, if you don't know it already, is you'll get some exposure to programming beyond scripting mods, as the FOMM install scripts are C# files. The script will work as-is for any FOMOD ready sexout addon with minor changes. All the changes you need to make are on just three lines: On lines 74, 76, and 81, you will want to check for something other than SCR, depending on your mod. SCR itself will want to check for Sexout, Slavery will want to check for SCR, Legion Tryout will want to check for Slavery, etc. If this already sounds complicated, do yourself a favor and just open this file in your text editor of choice and just look at those lines -- I assure you, it's dead simple. Simpler than anything you've ever done, modding wise. Also, don't be like me: Once you make the FOMOD, test it thoroughly. *blush*
Halstrom Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I only saw this because I came to this thread to post something, I ssuspect Fallout mod stuff may be better back in Fallout somewhere. I'll have a poke with this one day, when I get my current issues stable.
