Stuck in xaz Prison Overhaul

I've tried Prison Overhaul in the past, but never really pushed the limits on getting arrested before now.  But the other day I started a new game with a new set of mods and a new character.  I included Xaz Prison Overhaul in my load order.

 

Everything seems to be running ok - quests, animations, etc., except for one troubling detail.  I was arrested in Whiterun after propositioning a guard (forgot I hadn't turned off guard morality) and said I'd rather be taken to jail.

 

That was 3 game days or more ago.  In jail, for starters, the guards aren't as interested in my character as I expected.  There are long, dull, hours when I'm just standing in the cell.  I used "Wait" to advance the time quickly and see what happens.

 

Then the main guard came into my cell, finally, and had his way with me.  When he was done, I teleported outside of the cell, to the big room 10 feet away, and was again arrested for "escaping".  Another fine and I was thrown back into jail.  Then the very same thing happened again not long after that.  There's a loop here that doesn't seem to have an end.  If I can't work off my sentence, how do I get out?

 

But that's not even the worst of it.  I was finally taken to Dragonsreach and locked into a cage.  Over the next day of game time, I was raped by about 18 men (I have the Random Sex mod enabled, which accounts for much of that).  But again, I'm stuck in the cage for hours and there doesn't seem to be any resolution to my status.  In one animation, I got out of the cage and decided to run for the doors (hell with the consequences) but discovered that the doors are disabled, as this part of the quest doesn't allow you to leave the scenario play area.

So my questions are two:  (1) Why is the game TPing me outside of my cell and then accusing me of escaping? (2) Is there a way to complete the jail sentence without just letting my character stand in her cell for real-time hours?

 

I'd like to keep P.O. going in this build if I can, but I just want to know a way to avoid the loop (above) and the interminable waits.

Are you using Intes patches with it? The original version fell out of compatibility long time ago. Inte has been keeping it up to date.

Thank you, Morferous.  It appears that I wasn't up to date on the patches.  I'll test again and see if things have improved.  I don't want to try for a clean save at this stage of my game.

I've got the latest patch, everything was going well after my PC was arrested, got walked to Whiterun, was punished regularly, sent to the cage then the jailer came to her cell and said "Come with me." as usual. However this time he won't do a damn thing. I wasn't able to move either until about five minutes later when three guards approached her, whipped and raped her. They were all talking about the pillory. She was able to walk and run but, the jailer stays still. If my character is too far away she gets teleported back to the guard. 

 

I tried Debug unstuck jailer and he vanishes then comes running towards her and again does nothing. It's been 8 game hours of this and after the whipping the "heart beat" noise that comes with low health is on constant loop. It's way past her prison sentence. Is there any way I can get out of here?

I have a problem where the guards keep saying the whole you're under arrest speech, I say take me to jail and nothing happens. The guard just keeps saying the dialogue over and over again, without actually arresting me. What is the problem?
