KinkeeKitten Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I want to know because I find the HDT Boob and Butt animations quite silly and obnoxious, but the mod is required for some of the custom armours that I use, without them the game will crash. I'm using CBBE.
Gameplayer Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 You would have to remove the Boob, Belly, and Butt weights in a program like Bodyslide/Outfit Studio and then save the mesh. That's not too hard to do but it will require that you get familiar with a program. There are no other easy ways that don't have downsides. As an example, Some might suggest simply not using the XML or using an XML without a specific node point. That however has proven to impact the FPS and induce CTD's....I'm not sure how or why, can only speculate that it has something to do with those weight paints are not entirely ignored if they are present even though the XML isn't forwarding render information.

Could you tell me how you'd do that? I am quite familiar with Bodyslide, but I've never done anything like that before, or used outfit studio.
Gameplayer Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Load up Outfit Studio, Load-> Load Project, select the project containing the armor, load. On the right hand side there are Tabs, these are Meshes, Bones, Lights. Select the Bones Tab. Find Breast Nodes there are 2, and the belly node there is one, and the Butt nodes there are two. You can CTRL select them to get them all at once. Right Click "Delete From Project" Now find the File Tab, Save Project and save.

I've done this with all the armour pieces that I want the physics removed from, but I still get the physics on the body parts when the armor is equipped...
D_ManXX2 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 if you just want to disable hdt make and if you use mod organizer make sure to click on the hdt.dll and click hide on it this will completely disable all hdt or if you installed it manually navigate to skyrim folder go into data folder skse\plugins either move or delete hdt.dll extentsion and your done.
ousnius Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Instead of disabling HDT completely (which would cause CTDs in your case), or editing anything about armors to remove weights (which is quite the mess), you can simply place an EMPTY XML file for HDT in the folder. Such as this one. hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml

That's not what I want to do. If I wanted to remove HDT entirely, I'd just uninstall it. I want to deactivate the physics on my character's armor. Removing the .dll makes my game CTD when I load my save. Also, I use NMM.

Make sure to install XPMSE and have it be top-priority in both your data and plugin load-order.

davwe Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Simply data>SKSE>Plugins>hdtPhysicsExtensions.ini -> enableDeactivation = true
