Feet sink into the ground HDT High Heels

When my PC dies while wearing HDT high heels her feet sink into the ground like this.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Where normally it would be like this.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This persists until I load the game.

The offset remains whether I take off the shoes or not.
Anyone run into this issue?

You might want to just stop using mods that force you to use HDT Heels mod.

You can still use Nio Override versions.

 

Although I'm not certain that there are many, you can check out MiniDresses Bodyslide Conversions by Gamefever for NSK13 versions of heels to fit any unp based body there are also UNPB versions that converted them to Nio.

 

Devious Devices are all NIO heels now.

 

I usually just convert them over for myself if I want to use them.

 

HDTHeels though that's pretty much normal behavior.

I know it is a bit of a necro (but hey, who doesn't like a bit of necro in their game on this board?)

 

I have recently had this issue crop up. God knows why, I haven't seen it for ages. Gameplayer is right, best solution is to convert them to NIO yourself. It's not that it's hard, it is just a pain, expecially if the heels you want to use come in a pack like Luxury collection. Fortunately our man Ousnius (we love you btw) has come to the rescue. If you d/l his mod screenshot pad (which is very cool if you like to make screenshots btw) you will see in its mcm that it has a hotkey for reset. Simply take the shoes off your character. Now they are standing in the ground. Hit the reset button (NP5 by default, you can change it if you want) and whalllaa! Your character is reset to the normal position. Now you can put your heels back on, they work properly and skyrim is a happy place again.

Didn't work for me - had hdt hh for an age and this last run thru started doing just this!

Try this: remove heels, quick-save, then quick-load. That should reset you to be standing on the ground if I recall. ^{(If not, try re-equipping the heels after the save, but before the load)}

I have, since then, I think, identified what is causing this. I think it is the NIO HDT heel mix. I think what is happening, is you are taking off HDT heels, and swapping to NIO heels. I think you are doing this without leaving the inventory, I think this means that the NIO heels are not getting the original ground postion to begin from. (mb it is the other way round NIO - HDT). I found that by making sure I remove the shoes. Exit inventory. Check char is standing on the ground. Go back to inventory. Put on new shoes.  Problem doesn't happen.

 

A better fix would be to pick one. HDT or NIO and either remove or convert the others.

I have no NiO heels in game, only HDT.

Neither worked.  Thanks anyway - can't understand what's affecting it.  New profile, new game - suddenly started happening.

@Stiffon When i had this happening it was because of mods modifiying the hip bones (whie wearing heels). DCL removed that change back then because of this, but there might be others. Try to change settings of any body changing mods, or replace them... i couldn't find any other solution.

Thanks, I'll take a look.  The only updates I've made for this game are FNIS, EC+/ES+, and BS+OS (to 441) - I'm still on the old version of DD mods, as not ready for 4 yet - I've added in for this playthru Touring Carriages and Hydra Slavegirls.  Otherwise it's a copied Profile from previous game that was not doing this lol!  Skyrim head-scratching moments!

Only affecting my PC - NPC's wear the boots correctly, and my feet are in the ground even without boots!

Not entirely sure, but EC+ might still have a hip grow feature. For cursed loot it was way before DD4 appeared, something like v5.6 i think.

Running 6.1, so cursed loot should be ok.  Is there an easy way to tell if EC+ has the hip grow feature, or do I need to go ask the Chaurus Keeper lol?

*edit: that is, aside from just trying. You can also play around with settings howgrowth happens, i'm sure there is a way to disable it. For trying, start a new game (to make sure feet level is vanilla), get pregnant, wait short before the end of pregnanycy, check feet level.
