Pirate_L Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Forgive me, but I'm new to modding >.< So I was following the guide to installing Sexout on this forum, right now I've just installed the NVSE and the Fallout Mod Manager. It's the Mod Configuration menu I'm having trouble with; I did exactly what was said, although I couldn't install the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)" since I get a error message telling me I got the latest version so I assume the it should work regardless (shouldn't it?). I load the game and get the message on the top left telling me that MCM has been successfully installed, but when I pause the game, I don't see the MCM option. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've already posted this on the mod page for MCM but I'm still waiting for a reply, I was hoping someone on this forum can tell me what's going on. Thank you
stx06 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 You probably did not do anything wrong, I also updated MCM recently and have run into a similar issue. I have no idea what is causing it, but it appears to be related to this newer version of MCM. If you have an older copy of MCM, you may want to revert to that.
DoctaSax Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 If you have other mods loaded that affect HUD (DUI, aHud, project nevada, advanced recon gear, iHud, pHud, etc etc) a new MCM install may be overwriting an xml file it shouldn't. Getting different HUD mods to play well together can be a pain. Unified HUD (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38961) can help, as can the youtube vids of that mod's author.
Pirate_L Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 Thank you for replying guys I really appreciate it. I actually solved the problem >.< MCM was installed properly, the reason why it wasn't showing was because I didn't have a mod that uses MCM. I'll edit the first post to answered now, but again, thank you for answering
