Ashal Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Sorry for the recent downtime folks. Web server recently reached its hard drive space limit without me noticing till it was to late, had to scatter and get it upgraded. Â Everything should be smooth sailing again!
Ryanhabs Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 No problem Ashal, as they say "Shit happens." Btw: you had to upgrade? I would be more than willing to donate more to help support the forums as it seems like your solely absorbing the cost of running this. Let me know or pm me, I would gladly donate a month or 2 worth of upkeep funds for one of my favorite sites on the web
chupa Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Thank you for this Ashal. Â awesome homepage. Â ty. Chupa
Slammer64 Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Hell, I'd just like to know how to donate to keep my favorite site on the web up?
Ashal Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 There is a donate button at the top of the site if you feel so inclined. Server bill is $40 a month usually, depending how heavily downloaded the resource pack gets.
Slammer64 Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Gahhhhhhhhh, I'm fucking blind, sorry Ashal, I never even saw it. BTW, donation on the way.
UDLR Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Thanks for fixing the issue so promptly ! Â I don't know if its related to the downtime, but this problem seems to have cropped up about the same time for me, so I figured it might be. Uploading seems to be broken, I get this message when I try to attach something to a post: "The file upload failed. Please choose a valid file and try again. Error details: The attachment could not be found on the server." Â The file was just a 39kb zip file.

Symon Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 This site is so busy/popular I'm not surprised. At some point, it might be best to think of a decent implementation of thread purging/archiving.
Slammer64 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Considering how the "What mod is this?" post is growing, for example, that may be a good idea Symon.
Symon Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Yeah the hit on the processor(s) when someone wants to add a new post to that thread must be getting interesting.
