Get rid of ESM flag in ESP

I'd really like to try out Izumiko's NPC mod for New Vegas Bounties. However when I try to load the esp using LOOT I get the "cyclic interaction" error. Also FOMM is giving me the message in red in the picture below

So I opened the T6M NVB2 NPC.esp in TESsnip and the following flag has an ESM mark.

I opened up the ESP in FNVEdit a tried to edit it, but FNVedit won't load all the required masters because the T6M NVB2 NPC needs to load after the New Vegas Bounties.esp. But FOMM thinks the T6M NVB2 NPC.esp is an ESM so it always puts the problem ESP at the bottom of the ESM load list and not after the New Vegas Bounties.esp. So I'm kind of stumped.

How do I get rid of the ESM flags in this esp?

Figured it out. I used Wrye flash to change it to as ESP.

However, I fear that the mod is simply bugged. My game just hangs at the load screen with no options to save, load etc. with the mod enabled. My game starts fine without it. Maybe someone smarter than me can see what's up with that mod.

If he used FNVEdit to change the flags (likely due to the warning in red) it can't be undone.  I've screwed myself like that before and wrecked an esp I didn't make a back up for.

You can try doing what he did with his esp; use FNVEdit to make New Vegas Bounties an esm.  That should allow you to juggle the load order and open the T6M NVB2 NPC.esp.

IF all else fails you could PM Izumiko and ask for a copy of his raw T6M NVB2 NPC.esp.  What's the worst that could happen?  He tells you 'no'?

Note: if you tried opening the T6M NVB2 NPC.esp in the GECK without making the New Vegas Bounties.esp an active file along with it you probably erased all of its references from T6M NVB2 NPC.esp.  Using an esp as a master file requires that it always be checked as active when loading the mod depending on it.  That's a Bethesda thing and not too many people know about it.

Thanks Kendo.

So I took your advice and made the New Vegas Bounties and New Vegas Bounties II into ESM's using FNVEdit. Loot seemed to like that (no cyclic error).  Loaded my entire mod repertoire into FNVEdit just to see if if everything altogether loaded and it did. Started up my game........and.........it still hangs on the load screen with the original unmodified T6M NVB2 NPC mod loaded. :(

So I nixed the T6M NVB2 NPC mod from my load order and the game loads just fine, even with the ESMified New vegas Bounty mods. Hmmmm.

I dumped the ESMified New Vegas Bounties that I modified and put the original ESP versions of NVB's into my data folder. Good to go. Loads up just fine.

I think Izumiko just botched that particular esp. Which doesn't surprise me much. I really respect the amount of work and love he put into the whole T6M body style and all the mods related to it, but some of them were pretty bugged. I spent a fair amount of time in the Geck and Nifskope making invisible textures show up correctly and fixing other various little problems. Again, I think his mods rock. I am very happy with them. They just needed a little work.
