[Mod Idea/Help] Aggression-Based Voice Sets

I would like a mod that can temporarily assign a SexLab voice set based on whether or not the scene is aggressive. I've been creating a few sets that I use exclusively for aggressive scenes (mix of crying, screaming, "help!", "no!", etc.). I already have SexLab set to have NPCs reuse voices, but it breaks immersion to have to keep assigning them in the middle of fun (ex: raping a new bandit I want to scream or having a consensual encounter start crying) or where I'd need to keep re-assigning depending on what I'm doing (ex: whether I feel like taking one of my slaves gently or by force). Same thing when I play a female character — I'd like to have her scream when raped but not when having normal sex.

It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to make a mod that:

- Lets you classify selected installed voicetypes as "Aggressive"

- In the event of rape:

• Captures an NPC's current voicetype and stores it

• Assigns a new type classified as for aggressive

• Reassigns the original voicetype

- Lets you do something similar for the player, where you can choose a separate voice type for rape.

I'm still pretty bad at scripting, but it seems like this would fit right into the framework. What I have no idea how to do, however, is to store the voicetypes. I assume this is where external files come in. Can someone please point me to a good place to learn how to do this?

I'm pretty sure it filters existing voices by whether or not the scene is aggressive. I know I've heard different sounds to fit the scene in the past. You may just need to add them to existing packs, or add some consensual sounds to complete them.

Now I haven't actually looked into how the packs are set up so I might be wrong/you may know more than I do.

Also, you may want to move this to either the development thread (As a feature suggestion) or the tech support thread (to ask for help creating the packs/mod etc)

In my experience, there is but a slight difference. Sometimes a rapee really sounds like a rapee, but most of the time one can't tell from the woman's voice if sex is forced or consensual. In the beginning of my game, rape sounded more like rape, but later I actually had several rape victims scream "yes". In spite of occasionally resetting my sex stats, rapees no longer sound believable. I suspect that my general reputation in Skyrim has risen so high that some women consider it an honor to be raped by me.

I would very much appreciate it if SexLab or Defeat was altered so that raped women didn't sound like they were enjoying it. So the OP has my moral support. As to scripting – that's way over my head.

Imho you're right. Sexlab has different voices for rape and consensual, and there are several voice replacers around, but afaik the only option is to leave them random, or choose a single set. So, you can replace "yes" with "no", but then it will play "no" in consensual scenes too. I was thinking to suggest it in a sexlab thread, but i already made one today... don't want to seem greedy ;)

A middle way would be to look for voices which can be considered both, and use those. They are simple .wav files, so you can play them with default windows programs until yo find the one you want to replace, or replace them all with a whole set.

That's a good idea. Thanks.

Totally forgot to ask: would you share your aggressive sets?
