After discovering a bunch of new Lovers options is it possible to delete oblivion and everything and reinstall it from scratch while keeping the character saves?

Or is character saves also must be deleted?

Your saves are saved in My Documents, not in your Bethesda folder. So yes you can, just don't delete the saves from My Documents. (You may want to delete your config though if it is giving you issues)

Yes the oblivion.ini file found in your my documents folder is the one you will want to delete if you are reinstalling.

As to screenshots via oblivion's game engine.....that is really not the way to go as it sucks big hairy ones (as you've already figured out). Use Fraps or a similar program to take your screenshots.

Before you delete your game do one thing that will help you to salvage your existing save game. Open OBMM and disable all esm/esp files except oblivion.esm and the official DLC esp files. This will "clean" your save game to make it easier and more likely to be salvageable with your new install.

Oops I should've mentioned that, could the saves with custom races like Final fantasy modified or Synx, and Miqote work via clean save because won't that just disable the character cuz the mod got turned off. I quite like playing custom races xD

Normally, loading a save with a custom race character whose race mod is disabled either makes the game crash (if the race resource is from an esm) or - with a race added by an esp and the 'Crash Prevention System' installed - can be loaded, but the character turns out headless or shows other weird effects:

A possible workaround is loading the character before you reinstall the game, temporarily changing him/her to a vanilla race and making a new save, changing the character back to your custom race later. Or using Wrye Bash to transfer the race information and looks to a new save in your new install. Or even using this powerful standalone utility specialized on race/face transfer.

If your PC is a custom race then leave that particular race esp (or if there are multiple one's like MBP) enabled when you make your clean save. The point of the clean save is to try to eliminate as many potential problems as possible. :)

Great I think i just screwed up.

I installed http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=3812 instead of 2. Beautiful People 2ch-Ed v1.8.0 Fixed I still can install the 1.8.0?

Cuz I installed that one in the link then

installed 3. Install Modular Beautiful People 2ch-Edition (Full) 1.4.omod

then 4. Install Modular Beautiful People 2ch Edition Plus Plus

somehow the game seems to work fine. I loaded and installed the cute elf race cuz i became curious to see what they look like.

Is it fine? or should i uh toss out the screw up ? 4am, the dll took too damn long x.x

Or do i just plow on ahead and forget about the 1.8.0? Will i miss out on something?

The AIO you installed already has the base files for 1.8 in it so you should be fine without installing 1.8. If however you run into problems later with missing meshes or textures, it is no big deal to just install 1.8 overtop of your existing install.

Plow on soldier!!! :)
