Noob needs help with HDT

Could anyone tell me the steps to installing HDT? I have been at it for a few hours and I still can't get the thing to work. I'm using CBBE and Mod Organizer if you need to know. And I have a clean slate, no other mods installed. So please help to me as soon as you can.
