Hello every one, So i made a custom sword using dread knight sword mod.

I created and added a glowing part in the middle, added a medallion and crystals.

Now what i did is added the correct bslightingshaderproperty in nifskope after exporting the sword.

Then I opened the original sword in another window of nifksope and removed the sword part and added my four parts.

Then in the creation kit i duplicated both of the 1stperson and main entries of the sword and added my created nif file now the issue happens here...

It only shows the sword part but not the other 3 parts i made in 3ds max in creation kit view windows and in the game as well. In the game sword works fine but the three parts i made is not with the sword.

How i do i fixe it? i had the issue once a couple of years ago but somehow i solved it and that sword had 11 parts but i don't remember how and i've been trying different thing for an hour now but only the sword part shows up and not the other 3.

I will really appreciate the help.

Small recommendation, post what you have so far as .nif file, and maybe a screenshot of what you are looking for.

What are the trishapes named?

because if there named "BSX" or "INV" or any other like that then they might be mistaken for something other than mesh by the engine.

Make sure they also don't have the same name, you can just have 1,2,3 etc at the end or something to differentiate them.

Also "Scb" is only for the scabbard and you can only have 1 that will be accepted, the rest will be ignored and not show up.

The names are different, And as i said earlier i had this issue once before and i somehow fixed it.  I made a combination of weapons which had 11 parts and i was having the same issue i am having right now but i fixed and that weapon showed up fine in the game. And now i decided to make another weapon (with 4 parts) and having the issue again and not seem to recall how i fixed it.

No it doesnt have Scb entry, the original sword doesnt have it either

2 things come to mind:

1. try converting the meshes to NiSkinInstance

2. anything imported into 3dsmax losses the correct shader settings (or something like that, i forget what it was)

OK i figured out the issue, othr than the dagger the other parts had glowing property and it is causing the issue.

I removed the glow property and now all of them are showing but the question how to make the glowing part visible?

i'm not sure, i have never worked on glowing things, but i would start by looking at any glowing thing that can show up in game, maybe you need to add some sort of glow map or something,

or you could try to copy and paste the bslightshaderproperty from the original models:

first have your new model and the original model opened in nifscope

select the bslightshaderproperty in your new model and press Ctrl+delete

select the bslightshaderproperty in the original model and press Ctrl+c

don't close the window for the original model

select the nitrishape in your new model and press Ctrl+v

I know how it works, i made a lot glowing armor parts, items except weapons, and i did the same thing(copying and replacing glow shader property to my sword and it is causing the issue for the sword. I guess there a different method with a weapon.

I even downloaded a sword with a glowing rune effect on it and apply its glow property to my sword the way it was applied to the downloaded sword but my game crashed when i tried to equip the sword.

I am gonna do one more thing and see if it works, will import the downloaded sword with a glowing rune effect in 3ds max and the import me sword over it and then export the nif after removing the downloaded blade except the rune part. And then i am gonna apply bs shader and glow properties to the sword and see if it works.
