|||||||||||||||||||||||||| Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Hello All, Â I have encountered an ongoing bug with multiple savegames, load orders, modlists and configurations. This bug has broken multiple savegames for me. Â A thread investigating the bug can be found here. I tried various specific fixes mentioned in the thread but most did not work. The thread was closed before resolution could be confirmed and is now archived. Â The bug seems to manifest as a nearly complete lack of NPC hostility to the player. Enemy NPC such as bandits will not attack the player and will often act as friendly NPCs. Normally Friendly NPCs do not always turn hostile when attacked. Sometimes they can be made hostile after multiple attacks. Non-Hostile NPCs heal instantly and often fully from any player attack. I had a savegame that was experiencing this bug on an ongoing basis. I found a situation in which I could reliably test NPC hostility in a dungeon. One of the suggestions in the thread was to try resetting any mods that could possibly affect combat and hostility. I want through the MCM and began resetting these one by one. After resetting a mod or performing a cleanup action of some sort, I would then exit the MCM and wait for confirmation the mod had finished the task. Once I recived this confirmation, I would then sneak attack the NPC to test hostility. The first few mods I tested had no effect. The NPC would not change behavior after cleanup, and would continue ignoring attacks and instantly healing. I reached Death Alternative and began to try the individual resets, continuing one at a time and checking the NPC afterwards. Â Finally I reached the "Reset Tracked Follower List" under Utility settings. Upon exiting the menu the NPC instantly turned hostile and began searching for me. I attacked while still hidden and the NPC died as expected, taking full damage and not instantly healing. Â This would seem to be the fix for the mod. I imagine this happens due to some kind of bloat, though I don't know enough about the mod to say. Furthermore, this may only be a temporary fix, I have not been able to confirm or test how long this issue lasts. Â I would very much appreciate feedback on this fix. If anybody can replicate this please post a reply. In addition, reporting how long this fix lasts for would also be a great help. Â TL;DR: Â Death Alternative may stop NPCs from becoming Hostile. "Reset Tracked Follower List" in Utility settings should fix this, at least temporarily. Â Â 4
Sundder Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 I have been having the same problem for about a month. Your fix worked!Â
Xiaron Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Just worked for me as well, thanks! NPCs are no longer ignoring me until I attack them.
Not a prisoner Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Hasn't worked for me : ( NPCs are sometimes hostile and sometimes not. It effects everything from wildlife to bandits and monsters.

If you use Sexlab Defeat, you might experience this issue if you do not activate it ABSOLUTELY LAST after you configure all the rest of your mods. This happened to me.

This happened to me. Aye, just had the same problem again today. Reading up on it ages ago it seems related to how Defeat and DA change faction relationships in order to do what they do. I guess it's something like an intended temporary thing that gets stuck. What I have fouond works pretty reliably though, and I have no idea why, is uninstalling then re-installing FNIS Creature Pack.
bebe2803 Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 I have encounter this problem recently, maybe caused by an interrupted sex in sexlab defeat. The fix is simple, find an enemy and face to face, press K (surrender hotkey), see if you can start talking to him, tell him to fuck you, and everything returns to normal after the sex 3
Riasnatcher Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 I don't have Death Alternative and just Naked Defeat. Can I also just reset the mod or something?

O conserto é simples, encontre um inimigo e cara a cara, aperte K (tecla de atalho de rendição), veja se consegue começar a falar com ele, mande ele te foder, e tudo volta ao normal depois do sexo Mano, você me salvou !!!!!!
Arelor Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Well I have this problem and I haven't even activated Defeat or Sexlab mod at all but they are still not hostile...

Same; just stumbled into this thread hoping to find a fix lol  Thought maybe it was Sky TEST acting weird after the anniversary update but no luck, still nothing and nobody attacks me after deactivating it..  EDIT: Go figure that the very next page I read after commenting here fixed my issue. I was running Immersive Creatures newest version (7.0.2 for me as of this post) but still had an old version of Skyrim Immersive Creatures Official Patch Central. Deactivated the patch and saw immediate change and that wolf I was standing in front of when I saved went aggro the moment I loaded back in.  Hope this helps anyone else who might be having the same issue Edited March 8, 2022 by Ralin Drakus Found Fix
Seeker999 Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Deviously Helpless can be the culprit. I am running Dev. Helpless w/o Alternate Start-Live Another Life or Death Alternative. I ran into the same problem. I am using Defeat this time around, but when I ran into the 'enemies not attacking' issue it wasn't due to Defeat getting stuck. It was Deviously Helpless. I opened the console to see what factions I was in, and found this: WD_TmpPlayerFaction: Rank100. It's a faction DH uses for its scenes and should have reset but, as happens sometimes, something kept the script from finishing out and resetting the faction. Fortunately, DH has a menu toggle you can use when this happens. It will reset the rank to -1 for you so you don't have to mess with console commands. Â
