LoversLab on Discord

I know your intentions are fair but I would personally advise against it and strongly so

The last community I've been in had the same happen: other than its original forum, a Discord server was created as well, only problem is that issues with it started arising soon after. The Discord room was basically where all the c00l popular kidz were at whom would often shittalk about certain users from the original forums. This, when revealed, obviously led to animosity within the community which in the end became heavily fragmented, toxic

Now. The LL community is not this other community I'm talking about so things may very well go differently. I just want to warn you of this potential danger of dividing the community and would recommend heavy moderation on the admins' part if this actually becomes an official thing. But then again, I'd advise against adding a Discord channel to LL. Nothing personal, it's just that I had a bad experience with it personally, is all. It's only more work for the moderators whom would have to watch a quickly moving insta-chat room which requires a hell of a lot more effort to keep in check than a slower but much more manageable forum

We never enabled the chat in LoversLab because it is pretty impossible to moderate.

Already without it the amount of work is huge.

About the kiwi IIRC, it is a thing, but really often there are inside "c00l" people talking about whatever. It is not really associated with LL, and we do NOT moderate it. (I tried for a while but it is just impossible.)

Now, we are not going to limit the freedom of people in creating a new site, or a chat, or whatever.

But we will NOT agree to be something "official".

The kiwiirc has a block user option that blocks a person's chat text from appearing so anyone can moderate their own screen themselves and if everyone blocks said troll they will get bored and leave because there is no one paying attention to them.

Yeah. I am aware of this.

But still, it is self-moderation. And very often there were 2 or 3 trolls having long, useless discussions.
