Question about Creatures being in T pose. Trying to fix my game.

So, I installed More Nasty Critters to my peril. I'm using Mod Organizer.

I installed MNC hoping to get some flame atronach action, unfortunately the entire mod comes with like 5 other mods, but whatever. I got tired of the mod not working at all so I uninstalled it. after that I noticed that some creatues are stuck in T pose, even after rerunning FNIS for Users. I also tried Fnis creature pack, even though MNC supposedly doesnt need it but it makes no difference.

Installing MNC again made them move again, but I didnt want MNC so I uninstalled it, only to bring the T pose back.

One thing that does make the creatures animate is removing a folder in Mod Organizer/overwrite/Meshes/Actors/atronachflame or goat, etc. But I don't like manually removing folders from MO.

does anyone know what's happening? I've had MO leave folders from a mod after multiple reinstalls and whatnot, so I'm wondering if this is the same situation.

Also tried verifying game cache but it has no effect, also tried restalling FNIS, but it still happens.

If I had to guess I'd say that MNC installs FNIS creatures, but when you uninstall MNC some creature files remain?

the files in your owerwrite folder are the files created by fnis, sp i would recomment completly cleaning out the folder from any fnis created. then run fnis again without mnc and see if the problem persists.

Read the instructions for FNIS.  If you need to uninstall creatures, BEFORE uninstalling any creature mod, run FNIS Generator, select 'De-Install Creatures' (that's what it's there for...), DO NOT RUN FNIS AGAIN.  Just quit Generator.  Then uninstall the creature mods you want removed (and if you uninstall all creature mods, you might as well uninstall the FNIS creatures stuff as well).  Then run Generator again, and your creatures should not be in the T-pose - since they are creatures, wouldn't that be an M-pose?  Maybe Table-pose (4 legs you know...).

As a general rule don't leave anything in Overwrite, especially if you use multiple profiles.

Overwrite has an option to create a mod. Use that and only associate it with your current profile.

If I am on the Default profile, I create a mod called "FNIS - Default" after running FNIS.

Oh man. I pretty much have a basic understanding of mod organizer.

Never heard anything about "leaving mods in Overwrite". I actually dont even understand taking things out of Overwrite. Thought you could just install mods and set data directories here and there and be done with it.

If you haven't yet, take a look at the STEP guide for ModOrganizer - I have it linked in my sig.
