What is the best nude body mesh and textures?[Sims 3]

In my opinion the best option is Geck.O's nude top and bottom used with PrimerHD skin. The drawback of using the nude top and bottom is there is no pregnancy mesh so if your sims get pregnant things will look pretty weird. Which sims skin looks best is a matter of personal preference and there are hundreds out there, if I remember right I think I have 300. All we can do here is post what we think looks best to us but it's up to you to play your game and decide for yourself.

I'm using GECK.O's bottom replacement with default top & Cmar's morphing nipples

 

It works alright most of the time, but sometimes you can see a tiny tiny gap between the bottom and the upper body.

You can try GECK.O's top replacement out, I haven't tried it myself as I don't have time to work out the compatability with Cmar's nipples.

Maybe it will solve the gap issue.

To get rid of the gap issue there's a conflict somewhere. I think it might be the bra fix? I had the same problem and I had to get rid of something bra fix related I think to get rid of it.

As far as I know, most skins that came out in the last year or two before the release of S4 are based on EA's own UV map, and the same goes for meshes as well. So really, there's no need to search for a texture/skin to match your skin or vice versa, because any one of these will work in any of those spots. It's mostly based on personal preferences.

 

Full disclosure: I prefer low to medium definition on my textures, so my sims don't look like flesh-and-blood beings wandering a pixel paradise looking like they don't belong. I also prefer my torsos to stay as close to possible to EA's own model.

 

Textures (Note, all these skins are much higher in resolution than EA's own skin, regardless of the level of definition)

  • Low Def (or "Maxis-Match"): If you're looking for something that fits completely seamlessly into EA's aesthetic, but looks much prettier and less blotchy than EA's original skin.
    • I like the Starfruit series by Kurasoberina. There are a lot of variations (freckled, pale, pink, Asian, dark, etc.) and Kurasoberina took care to include vulva, nipple, and penis textures with each one.
    • There are quite a few creators who do high-quality Maxis-Match skins: Joedy/Buffy (she retired and deleted her blog, but I think she made sure her work was backed up somewhere so people can still download it) and Simtzu are some. However, I don't quite remember if those creators included genital textures with their skins... and I assume if you're asking around on this forum, you do want the genital textures.
  • Medium Def: For this category, if you're looking for a skin that doesn't jump out at you from the game landscape, but looks closer to the texture of real skin (for reference, this is my favored territory)
    • My personal, absolute favorite is Kurasoberina's Primer, which AfroSamurai has also recommended above. The nice thing about Primer, apart from how pretty it is, is that it's offered in different levels of resolution depending on your computer settings. The non-default version also has 1) an extra dark ramp created especially for darker skins and 2) includes special body textures (that includes age detail like liver spots and wrinkles) for Adults and Elders, as opposed to just using the same body texture for every age from Teen to Elder like most skins do (including EA's own).
    • Kurasoberina also offers Freckled Fruit V2, for slightly different skins with all the same advantages.
    • A few skins by Ephemera also fall into this category, such as Game or NV1.
  • High Def: There are a LOT of skins out there with the definition very purposefully painted onto the skin itself, instead of relying on the in-game rendering to create depth. This can give a rich and dimensional effect, but it can also look very fake, especially if the light is hitting your sim from the "wrong" angle, and it becomes obvious that the drawn-on shadows don't match the rendered shadows.
    • Mamyrocker's It's Skin seems to be very popular, but I've found it includes a lot of artifacts that get in the way if you're trying to make darker-skinned sims. If you make mostly light-skinned sims, though (like I did for a very long time) this may work for you.
    • Most of the skins I have been able to use in this category are by Ephemera. Natural Light and Natural Tan are classics for a reason.
    • Ephemera Skinny and Fresh also seem to be very popular. The definition is more subtle, which I like, but I don't like the shape of the shadows themselves, so I guess it's a tradeoff in this case.

 

Meshes

 

EA (what you can use if you only want a small change from EA's base shape, without any added polygons. This is what I personally use)

  • Bottoms:
    • Male: I believe the best penis mod for most S3 players (the ones who are interested in this sort of thing anyway) is CMar's morphing penis for teen + YA + adult + elder males. This is for a few reasons: 1) it is the only penis mod I know of that automatically overrides the nude bottom, so you don't have to go around manually adding penises to sims like with "accessory" penis mods. and 2) it has a thoroughly tested script for managing erections which is supported by every major NSFW mod out there. Just make sure you read the post carefully so you can grab everything you need, including the sliders and morphing script. CMar also made a "bulge" mesh replacement for the base game underwear, as did Robokitty.
    • Female: GECKo did a sculpted vagina default on this very site that you've heard a lot about, only for YA and adult. There is no equivalent for teens and elders, sadly. For them, CMar offers a corrected muscle definition mesh, so they don't have to go completely neglected.
  • Tops:
    • Male: nanashihito at MTS did a default torso for YA/Adult males that adds a bit of shape to the body rather than the straight cylindrical shape EA seems to think is typical of men (it's not!). Like with the bottoms for their female counterparts, Teen and Elder Males have to make do just with CMar's muscle definition fix (available at that same link above).
    • Female: CMarNYC created the original morphing nipples top (available for females Teen to Elder) that I think got the whole trend started. GECKo's natural breast top is really just a slightly reshaped version of CMar's nipple top. I do really like the slight sag of GECKo's version (it looks softer and more natural, more like flesh and less like silicone), but it lacks a pregnancy morph as AfroSamurai pointed out. For that reason (as well as the waist gap issue) I recently went back to using CMar's mesh after having happily used GECKo's version for years.

Custom (special meshes that deviate much more from the EA template than the meshes I've mentioned above, usually with added polygons for a more smoothly sculpted shape)

  • Female: I've heard a lot about BobbyTH. I haven't really investigated because the shape just isn't to my taste... the person who posted above me says that you need a special skin if you want to work with the Bobby mesh, but I'm not sure if that's true, because a lot of people who use Bobby seem to be able to use many of the same skins I do. I may be wrong, though. And if you're looking for more CC that will match the shape of the nude Bobby meshes, Chisami makes a lot of clothing for that body shape.
  • Male: VenusPrincess did a conversion of the Bobby body shape for males. She also seems to have adapted a lot of nude male meshes from different sources (including body parts for trans sims), so you might have fun poking around on that particular label.
