Tepi Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 You really shouldn't change papyrus settings too much. For sure not anywhere near 800. My setup is pretty script heavy and I get along with default papyrus settings just fine. Getting a crash maybe once in 3 hours or so. If you give that much time to papyrus (800) it will slow down the game and most likely that's why it's "laggy" So go ahead and change those to: fUpdateBudgetMS=1.2 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.2 fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 ;Xenon and PS3 use 2000.0 <--- This can be anything between 500-2000 iMinMemoryPageSize=128 ; <--- You could try 256 here iMaxMemoryPageSize=512 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=76800 ; <--- and 153600 here But you should try everything else before touching either of BudgetMS settings, or know exactly what you are doing. EDIT: iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=8000000000 No. It's what's reserved for scripts, not what the game uses. Just use either I mentioned above and you'll be fine.

Comrade Isbariya Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I've seen these settings somewhere too, when my animations started to lag, and it made it even worse, with the whole game turning into a picture show whenever a script ran. For your own good, use these settings: [Papyrus] fUpdateBudgetMS=1.2000000477 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.2000000477 fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 iMinMemoryPageSize=128 iMaxMemoryPageSize=512 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=76800 They work fine! If you still have problems with SCRIPTS(!) not running smoothly, you either went even crazier than me, and I'd suggest to get rid of some highly scripted mods, or you may have a look at the guide I linked in my signature, it improves the overall performance a lot! And just to make it clear, these settings do not affect animations directly, only the scripts necessary to run them, and how smooth and quick they run.
Gameplayer Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 The best suggestion is to not alter your default INI files at all. I'd also say you should install SKSE memory Tweak, ENB Boost... Post your Load Order, its very likely you should trim it back. If your game is really struggling that hard to play normally with your system specs than you have gone too far and haven't put enough thought into the how and why installed what you installed.
