Doublekill4 Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I see these amazing photos, mods, animations, everything - but I have no idea where to begin! What do I download first? How do I get these installed into my game? I have a legitimate full version of Skyrim and all the DLC's in Steam. What mods should I be getting first to get to these amazing screenshots I'm seeing? Thanks!
Guest Electriq Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 First: Getting Started with SexLab, be sure to read everything nicely and don't skip anything (also version number in that topic is wrong, current Framework version is 1.62, so don't get confused by that, and if you use MO, you can just install it from there instead of copying into Skyrim Data) Second: Frequently Asked Questions, this is a good read, it has a lot of useful info that I'd recommend reading Third: Sexlab Index, go here only when you set everything up and test it properly After that you can just roam the forums (Downloads - SexLab Framework and Downloads - Skyrim Adult & Sex Mods) and grab whatever you feel like is awesome Or even go to "Downloads" (top right button, it's pretty much same files as in above), but I personally prefer forums because you can see what other people say about mods Hope it helps, have fun Btw I hope you use MO, it's super easy to break stuff without it

Thanks! If you are completely new to Modding you won't just get those results right away. It takes time and effort and many times people customize mods meaning that you will need to learn how to do some light modding and even perhaps some texture and mesh work etc. However if you are new one of the first steps is to follow some tutorial like Gophers MO tutorial on Skyrim. It will walk you through some basic starting mods and show you some tips and tricks. GP (Gamer Poets) does the same. The key is to get a complete video tutorial and complete that. Get some gaming done and get comfortable with the basics. Then return for more and more advanced tricks and tools until you can start to achieve your own personal goals. You might need to communicate with some of those creators and how they did it and need to understand the process they are telling you about. I doubt they will give you newbie lessons for the more super complex task. . The more you learn the more you can learn and do.
edgarrice Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 If you are just getting started with modding, I would fall back even further. Go have a look at the STEP project. http://wiki.step-project.com/Main_Page You will want patches, bug fixes, memory fixes, general texture replacers, the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE), the SkyUI mod, the ENB package with your choice of ENB. Your choice of a follower package. Your game will look better and be more stable than you thought possible. Mod Organizer is highly recommended. I went years without it, but am glad I finally switched over. There are utilities you will likely need - BSAopt (archive extractor), NIFSkope, Photoshop or GIMP, TES5Edit, various other things. Once you get all that working, you can start working on characters. You will want mods for bodies, skin, hair, eyes, etc. Many followers are available "standalone", which means they include all the bits and bobs you need. Others require you to install the parts they need, and you will need them to create or modify characters to your own tastes. Then, finally, it's time to install the SexLab software stack.
Guest ass&boobslover Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 take it slow. first get the basic mods out of the way. Only then once you're perfectly sure skyrim can handle something advanced as sexlab or strong graphical modding ,continue. Alas mistakes happen to everyone, it's no easy task * wipes of sweat*
Sarif3 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 One of the hardest parts is getting the player's body set up. You need a couple of things first - HDT Physics, a custom body, a skeleton, custom textures, and some fancy new animations. Like other posters mentioned, the first thing you'll need to do is download either Mod Organizer or the Nexus Mod Manager. These will make your life soooo much easier. I'll try and walk you through it, because it gets pretty complicated real quick. 1. Download and install XPSE, which is the custom skeleton. Before doing this, you have to make sure you download and install the prerequisite mods listed (Realistic Ragdolls, SKSE, FNIS, and Racemenu). This is probably the hardest part. This will let you use things such as HDT (bouncing butt and boobs), custom animations, etc. Remember though, any time you install new animations, you MUST run the FNIS tool. Racemenu will also give you more control in the character creation menu. Again, make sure you install the prerequisites first, as many other mods also require them. Very important. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000/? 2. Choose a custom body type. I would recommend a UNP-based body, like the tried and true UNP or 7base. Pick whichever one you like the best. 3. Pick a custom body texture. I prefer Demoniaca, but make sure to choose the lower 2k textures or so if you have a lower-end PC. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70834/? 4. Get some hair for the character. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68311/? 5. Get rid of the stupid intro. This one is much faster and more efficient for creating new characters, and gives you some neat starting conditions that you can choose. Make sure to turn on subtitles. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9557/? 6. Custom textures and meshes. Oh boy. You can find these easily by browsing through the nexus. There shouldn't be and requirements for these, so just pick and choose the ones you want. 7. Bug Fixes. Skyrim Safety Load - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/? Unofficial Skyrim Patch - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/? 8. After textures, the biggest impact on your visuals is going to be an ENB. Again, just find one on the Nexus, get the ENB framework installed, then just install the specific ENB that you want. A good ENB will take your visuals to the next level, it really can't be overstated. 9. SKYUI will overhaul the interface, inventory, and menus. It's great. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3863/ That should be enough to get you started, and get most of the major requirements for almost all mods out of the way. Again, getting the custom skeleton and it's requirements is the most complicated part. But, once the skeleton is in place, you can use Fores New Idles to get custom animations. If you want to add HDT for the character, make sure to install the HDT Physics Extension AND HDT TBBP.

pennywise57 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 To get started be really patient, installing mods for Skyrim can be a total pain in the ass at first. For me, there are four things you need before anything :1 - Mod Organizer or Nexus Mod Manager, installing everything manually is out of question (or very difficult at least, I tried in the beginning, messed up my game so much)2 - SKSE. A must have. No way to circle around it.3 - SkyUi. Pretty much same as before, lots of mods need it to run.4 - FNIS. Mandatory if you want to have custom animations. After that I'd say the same as a little above, giving your character and NPCs the body you want is a good first step, because it's not as easy as it looks when you're new to it, and solving problems which may occur can give you base knowledge. Then it all depends on what you want to do. To add sex content you need to begin with SexLab Framework, it's a base. Personnally I began playing Skyrim with a little delay (2014) and tried immediatly to mod it, but it quickly got on my nerves and I gave it up, because I was too lazy at that time to read long tutorials. So take your time and do things in a good order, it won't be simple but you'll be happy when your game will be modded just the way you like it without too many bugs (no bugs at all is hard to achieve, if even possible when you have 200+ mods installed)
