Will the mods from the original Skyrim be compatible with the remastered edition?

Someone said that if any changes are made to the papyrus system, all of the mods will be broken.

no, but there will be a creation kit for the remastered version. mod authors will need to recompile their mods using the new ck. Look for a lot of mods called "Original Mod Name Remastered".

There'll be a new CK? Well... hopefully THAT thing will allow me to load Skyrim.esm at all... *sighs*

I was thinking that mods that didn't affect lighting or stuff would work fine, but if that isn't the case I don't really see a reason to upgrade, especially with all the fancy lighting and weathermods and ENBs that make the game look a lot better anyway while using highres textures.

Are you really sure that Bethesda would go so far as to make every mod unusable with a new version of the game? Some mods might not even come back at all unless someone might take care of them, or one could convert their used mods themselves. O.o

Seriously?  It is absolutely pointless to speculate about this.  How about we just hang on until it comes out in October.
