Help with Slal

Hey there, I recentely re-installed and re-modded skyrim and am having difficulty with the new slal packs, I read a couple of guides and managed to get it running fine (I think) but the packs themselves havnt been working out so well.

So far I only managed to get kazumi's anub pack working properly and havnt found any other that works or I can even install.

was interested in the creature animation packs and leito's animations and funnybizz's pack.

the only leito slal pack I found when installed causes the "T" static animation problem (like I havnt run FNIS) and funnybizz's archives to be downloaded for some reason I cannot decompress at all neither with winzip nor 7zip.

Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong? or can someone point me to packs either than the ones pointed to in the guides?

You should post this in the SLAL support post in future. :D

"(like I havnt run FNIS)" - this is you saying you haven't run FNIS? When you should be running FNIS? You are still adding animation after all. Anytime you add animations that require FNIS you need to be running that little program everytime. Try doing that and get back to us if you still have issues. It is most likely there is something fundemental you are missing as it sounds very much a user-install error.

Other things you can check are:

Make sure JContainers is installed and up-to-date

Make sure the JSON files are in the correct directory inside the SLAL installation as some mod managers have removed them.

As for FunnyB's downloads, if you look at the download you can see that the zip file is not the same size as it is shown on the site (for me I download it and it says it's 0 bytes) so most likly an issue with his downlaods after rollback of the site. You should write to him in his thread (not PM) and let him know.

thx for the feedback rydin.

I do run fnis, and it works great with anubis pack, but when I try installing leito's pack or even yours that I found in a post of someone who converted nsap animation to a slal pack and then run fnis, the animations are in the menu but the characters get stuck in the "T" animations and no animations play (as if I didnt run FNIS) come to think of it it may be cuz those packs were using an older version of slal?

hadnt notice the slal funnybizz files were corrupted :D Ill wait for a reup, I did make a post bringing it up already :)

Nah I wouldn't say that. SLAL's framework for adding anims hasn't changed.

Can you do two things for me? Run FNIS and copy and paste the results in under a spoiler tag ([spoiler*]TEXT[/spoiler*] without the stars) and run the consitence check and paste that in. Just so I can see what FNIS is picking up and reading.

Thanks!

It may also be that those packs might have faults. I cannot say that the pack that person made of my animations works cause I've never tried it. I have a SLAL pack for download on my resource animations page. Try downloading that aswell and see if that works for you. Make sure though you remove this other pack this person made before hand though.
