netruss1964 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Okay, I am totally new at this IMO. Be advised. I have recently been baptized into the Mod Organizer fanboy club. I had never run more then 5 or 6 mods (low impact, armors, weapons...). That is over now...and I am now paying the price. I had 127 mods running very recently, issues with my experience and mod conflicts and someone else telling me to run Ordenador (texture optimization tool) gave me lots of trouble. I have reinstalled Skyrim, Mod Organizer, all mods I intend to use and all support software ( WryeBash, TES5edit and loot.). Now, on a new save, my follower ,found in Riverwood , Puts on armor (Sexy Nightingale form Sexy Armor Package.esp, Fresh installed...) And skin turns into Zombie/Draugr skin from a mod I have removed (Nude Female Draugr and Dragon Preist, determined buggy and removed shortly after texture optimization.). This offensive skin file shows up on females and children wearing clothes, removal of clothing by any means causes NPC body to Show/revert to NPC skin, Add armor, instant zombie... Hands, feet and head of course remain free of issue. Can you please give me a clue of where to start!?! CORRECTION: I DID NOT RE-INSTALL SKYRIM. I deleted the data folder and had steam re-aquire it. I have systematically re-installed all mods from external sources I am unsure how to proceed from this point. Please advise.
Arhon Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Could use some pics. Never had this problem so cant really help but it seems to be a texture problem i believe?
jap2015 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I never used optimizers but here is what I would suggest. On the left side of MO, highlight the armor mod in question. This should show you if it is being overwritten with another mod. Double click the (+/-) icon and select the conflict tab. Find the mod that is overwriting the files and just move it above the armor mod (on the left side) or just delete it.If no conflicts show up for the armor mod, it could be caused by scripts baked into your save or texture files have been replaced. Try starting a new game or use the "clean save tool" to clean the scripts (google it) and see if problem still exist. If you have any patches-delete and remake them.Lastly, delete the armor mod and redownload and install it.You also may want to go to steam, at "my games", right click Skyrim and select "properties", select local files tab and select "verify chase". Afterwards you'll probably want clean your DLC's with TES5Edit.Hope this helps.
netruss1964 Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Thank you for the responses. I am pretty sure it is a default type nif file that is being used by the game/mod to replace exposed skin between the armor mesh and the head, hands, feet meshes. I do not know enough to know why it is using that particular file instead of the correct file or where that file is being pulled from since the original providing mod has been removed and deleted. I assume the texture optimizer or Mod Organizer or the combination replaced the original with the Draugr skin. My question is how do I find it, replace it with the correct file or a suitable replacement, and remove it so I never see it again? I believe it is as simple as deleting that file and then drag and drop a replacement but I don't know how to find out where the game/armor mod pulls that file from or why that one and not something entirely different. I have currently had steam delete local content and I have cleaned out my local files in preparation for a vanilla install, new M.O. install and re-download of all mods from scratch. I wish there were better tutorials and or explanations on the Bodies/ skins/ requirements and texture files in general...(SIGH). Thanks again and I will continue to look for comments on this issue as I do not consider it solved in any way. any feed back is greatly appreciated.

After a Virgin reload of almost every thing ( I ditched permanently 8 mods and added two new ones.) the zombie skin showed back up. Tracing back the overwrites of the Armor and skin mods (3) I found More Nasty Critters...adds female Draugr and Zombies...suprise! I had to keep it so I changed the load order and added metadata info in loot to the 4 mods. Seems Resolved now. Again thank you for your input.
