Nexus mods shutting down? My reaction to Robins Rant! Nexus Vs Bethesda

There is much drama in the modding community these days. With mod theft. Robin’s recent rant article came to my attention, where he openly discredits Bethesda and talks dirt about them. He made an article with about 5,100 words.

 

“What’s hard is spending time to form an actual thriving community and trying to do right by that community… responding to emails and messages, support tickets, requests… the wants and needs of the community… There’s seemingly none of that with Bethesda.”

 

Personally I think Robin is full of it, he never cared to respond to my messages, when I had the Redguard Expansion up and thousands of gamers were waiting for an update, he didn’t care to hear me out, I believe their more focused on their power and ego.

 

The needs of the community? That website does a faulty job at running the site, and the moderators fail to give it true justice, like when Dogtown1 got banned for stealing textures? then got accepted again, the site is a joke really.

 

I don’t think it’s smart to go against Bethesda, our sole provider. This recent article caused much drama on the nexus itself and many people got their comments removed and banned in that article.

 

“Now look, I’m not saying that Bethesda need to moderate like us, they don’t need the same strict warning and ban system.”

 

Again me, me, me, my website, nexus, nexus, nexus, all about my power & ego. Robin didn’t even consider Bethesda, for giving us the creation kit, and for everything Bethesda has done for us, updating the game and fixing bugs.

 

I believe they are power tripping on the nexus, after Robin’s rant. I’m really shocked, and I believe it was totally unprofessional, and he could of handled it in a more diplomatic fashion.

 

Bethesda is my favorite gaming studios, after seeing this rant, I want nothing to do with the nexus. Bethesda would never pull off something like what Robin did. I believe what Robin said is untrue, if Bethesda would of never cared about the modding community, they would of never released the creation kit, I think when you start to put down some one else or another company or website to bring your website and or your image to a higher level, I don’t think it’s right.

 

Bethesda is the one that gave us Skyrim and the tools to mod Skyrim, openly fighting and discrediting them on a site with millions of users I believe is not a very smart thing to do, some people think Nexusmods could get shut down.

 

Overall Robin has some balls to openly discredit Bethesda on his website, it was totally unprofessional and out of line. My stance is with Bethesda, they gave us the best rpg games, and they gave us the creation kit.

 

I believe Robin and those moderators have taken their power and ego to the head, and have their panties all in a bunch. Nothing personal judging from my personal experience and now this rant, the site is a joke.
